OKAY HERE’S MY REACTION TO THE MFSR VIDEO

I saw the mv less than 2 hours ago and I was slapped in the face by Harry’s tale over and over. From far, this is the least subtle mv on this subject. Maybe we need to pause it to catch details but not to catch the meaning. I’m listening to MFSR right now to write this and I just want to puke - every line sounds different and is consonant with the mv. He’s saying: “Hey, bitch, I hate that shit too but I love singing and acting, so I need to play with these fuckers, I'm slapping them in the face every time I can. Don’t you worry, I'm not easy to swallow. Oh, look at you, do you want to touch my tale? Let’s not, honey *slaps us in the face with kindness*”

The analogy of being the main attraction and becoming the main meal is the tone set. It’s Harry being Harry, he took something heavy, wrapped it in beautiful paper and delivered it to the world. You can laugh, you can be paralyzed by the weight of it, you can feel sick, so you laugh again, and in the end, your mind goes blank.

Harry’s MV for Music For A Sushi Restaurant is quite hopeful to me cuz H really do be like I’m not just a regular mermaid. I have tentacles. You know what octopus are really good at? Escaping confinement. I think the industry environment was awful but he found a way to get away from it in the end. Also I think it’s very representative of Taylor Swift vs Big Machine saga. The ending of the MV is especially reminiscent of Big Machine releasing the anniversary version of her reputation album before she started recording Taylor’s Version of everything.

I was a fan that unfollowed HSHQ on all my social media and was just disheartened with Harry because of the stunt, it wasn’t that I stopped being a fan, just that I stopped being invested. But the MFSR MV (which made me feel sick) has redeemed Harry for me. I think he’s a really intelligent, awesome person. I’d just love to give him a hug and tell him he’s amazing.
