I find myself more excited about Halloween now that I can participate in the tricks than I ever was as a child. Heads up; if you find a spider in your ice it was most definitely not me.
Something about pissing people off just really makes my day.
“I swear, I’m going to end up poking someone’s eye out with this damn orb. I’ll have to go around and apologize to everyone in advance.”
Just the thought of having to squeeze my ass into tight leather pants every night for the foreseeable future makes me want to eat nothing but salads and drink nothing but lemon water.
It’s Sunday.
That means I get to cut out of work early, right? It doesn’t matter that we have a tour starting soon. Nah.
A Doll's House || Open
More than anything she loved the smell of freshly cut flowers.
She was in the back yard clipping some from the garden, listening to her son as he played in the sand box but she paused to smell the peonies. She shook them for any bugs hiding in the petals and crouched to snip some lilacs next when she found something under the bushes. Initially she thought it was Calvin's toy. Something that had rolled under there and gotten lost. Upon closer inspection, she noticed it was a porcelain doll, but each of the limbs had been snapped off at jagged edges. The worst part was discovering the head.
One of its eyes had been smashed in and the mouth had been cracked apart. Its yellow hair was matted with dirt and so were the clothes left on the body. She wrinkled her nose and called across the fence to her neighbor's back yard. "Excuse me. Excuse me! Did you put this in my yard?" Maggie was willing to give benefit of the doubt, but it didn't make her any less disturbed to find a porcelain doll smashed to bits under her flowers. Strangely though, she noticed while staring at the pieces, it looked so oddly like her.
