Hello, I recently got into Marginal#4 and currently just INSANE with Eru(L)!! I am planning to buy the game but I really am not good at Japanese, so I mostly rely on translations. Sadly, it seems like Marginal#4 is a minor genre and I couldn't find any translation for the game scripts. I am not requesting or forcing you to translate the game, but just curious if you are ever going to... or have done it already. Oh, but i still appreciate the translations already posted. Cheers!

i’m assuming that you’re talking about the first game as opposed to the second game? i have thought about it in the past, but had doubts so never picked it up. anyway, i don’t mind translating it since i’m currently on summer break, and it just so happens that i’m in the middle of translating a bonus short story that came with the first game. however, i intend to only translate eru’s route for the time being and therefore can’t make any promises that i’ll do the others’. if i’m motivated enough and there is enough interest, i’ll think about doing the rest ^^

Getting the line of lavander (and kicking my shyness away to ask you)... Can i ask you about Kira's story too? I mean i saw your fun fact posts and i heard he was a deliquent... Besides that i barely know something about our cool brother Kira-kun.. Is there something that you can tell me about him? He is one of my favorites, and since i can't play the game i would love to hear about him (if it's not a bother) (/□＼*)・゜
Kira’s parents passed away when he was a kid. His relatives took him in afterwards, but he never got used to the living environment there, nor did he feel like he belonged. He completely went off the rails by the time he entered junior high. He wouldn’t return home for days, he would go out to play in the middle of the night, and he would constantly get into fights.
Shy had already joined the agency by then and was taking lessons with the aim of debuting. One night, Shy ran out of the agency because of an argument he had with Kadena-shachou. Kira was in the back alley of the streets at the time, and met Shy there. Shy asked him if he was hurt and if doing things like getting into fights was fun. Kira was really annoyed by this stranger for sticking his nose into his business, and told him to leave him alone, but he was also taken aback by his words because it had been a long time since someone paid attention to him.
Shy made his way back to the agency shortly afterwards, and Kira, out of curiosity, ended up secretly following him all the way there and then watching him practise his dancing from outside through the window. As he watched him, Kira started getting annoyed again because his dancing was terrible and all over the place. He eventually couldn’t stand to watch anymore and came in and showed himself while pointing out Shy’s mistakes and showing him how it was meant to be done. This resulted in a little argument before Kadena-shachou stepped in.
I’m not going to go into every single little detail about their conversation, but to sum it up, she saw great potential in him and invited him to come back the day after and join Shy in his lessons. Kira didn’t understand the meaning behind her words, but she assured him that he didn’t have to know right away. The answer will come to him eventually. Anyhow, both Shy & Kira were against the idea because they didn’t get along already, but fact of the matter was that Shy did acknowledge Kira’s abilities & Kira was yearning for a place to belong. Kadena-shachou insisted that it didn’t have to be tomorrow; Kira was welcome to drop by the agency at any time because she would be waiting. And that was what he did.
She eventually had them debut as LAGRANGE POINT. Even then, a part of him remained doubtful about being an idol because he still hadn’t found his purpose or meaning.
It wasn’t until he stood up on stage for the first time that he found the answer. Just like how he used to be alone and was abandoned by everyone but was then given hope, he figured that someone like him could also bring smiles and hope to people as well. He, along with Shy, decided that they would aim for the world. That they would make the legendary STARMATE their aim and become artists who captivate people from all over the world. Fun fact: Kadena-shachou was STARMATE’s Manager. (I think this is pretty obvious once you pick up the little clues that are also in the LOVE SAVIOR index.)

He has a habit of wandering off to god knows where without telling anyone. Aru especially gets worried and will go searching for him at times.
One time, after Rui gave him a warning for doing that, Alto said: “I will be careful. But sometimes my legs move on their own so when that happens, please forgive me.” ｡ﾟ(TヮT)ﾟ｡
Eru told Tsubasa to put a rope around him, but Tsubasa argued that 1. Alto’s not a dog, and 2. he would still disappear before he realises it.
A place he would like to travel to is Hong Kong.
If he had to pick one person to go travelling with, he would pick either Aru or Tsubasa. (He imagined that they would go looking for him no matter where he goes. He thought about including Teruma in his answer, but because Teruma is a very curious child, he thinks Teruma would be the first to go wandering off before he himself does.)
His favourite music genres are digital pop, party tunes and ballads.
His favourite TV programs are music programs, dramas, anime and programs about animals

Do you know how much canon info there is about Shy's life before becoming an idol? I heard he lived in another country and he speaks three languages. Do you know where he lived, and for how long?
Shy was born into a family of classical musicians. His father is an orchestral conductor, said to be the leading one of Japan, and thus has influence in the world of classical music.
Burdened with and overwhelmed by expectations from the adults around him and without a choice but to study music, he came to hate music to the point that even just listening to it would make him want to throw up.
When he was in junior high, together with his parents, he moved to Japan and helped his father with his work. As a result, scout offers came pouring in with the hopes that he would join their agency. Because of his hate for music by that point, he declined each and every one of them.
One envelope, however, caught his eye. Inside it was a DVD featuring footage of an idol’s live performance. Because there was still time before his next job, he decided to watch it and ended up being completely enthralled. Neglecting that job, he instead headed straight to the company that sent it - Pythagoras agency. It was there that he met Kadena Mai, its president, who he believes saved him. For that reason, the agency is the most important thing to him, and he wishes to repay her some day.
I don’t think the actual country (maybe even countries) was ever stated outright; it was only mentioned that he grew up overseas. The duration of his time overseas was never stated, either.

Rui thinks of Eru as an attentive person, while Eru views Rui as an incredibly knowledgeable person.
Rui felt that he had caused trouble for Eru when he caught a cold at around the time of recording their duet, Shiroi Koibito. However, Rui managed to fully recover in time for it.
When their 6th single Bingo!!!! was announced and they were told that it would feature Winter-themed songs, Eru suggested that they go to Hokkaido right away to get a taste of the Winter mood, but Rui immediately shot down his idea with: “It is not snowing in Hokkaido yet!”
Rui’s (as well as Atom’s) first impression of Eru was that he seemed to be a cheerful and carefree person because he wasn’t opposed to MG#4′s formation.
An unexpected side of Rui’s that Eru would like to see is Rui dropping the formalities. Atom & Aru agreed that they’d like to hear him speak less formally as well, but when it was pointed out that Rui might sound even stricter than Shy (and therefore even scarier than Shy) if that was to happen, MG#4 came to the conclusion that Rui was fine the way he is.
Among the members, these two are the best when it comes to playing Old Maid.
On Christmas Eve back in 2014, they discussed a way to bribe Atom to stay up till midnight to at least say, “Merry Christmas!” (He went to bed early otherwise Santa wouldn’t be able to come). Eru left Twitter for a bit to contact Atom soon after, and came back with news that Atom agreed to stay up. When Rui asked him what he said to make Atom agree, Eru answered that he bribed him with San Juice and made the argument that Santa is going to people’s houses by order of age so Santa won’t come to Atom’s house until much later. Rui’s response to that was: “I am worried in more ways than one about Atom-kun’s future.”
Eru was feeling really down because he was worried about his marimo. When Rui asked what was wrong:“Actually, these little ones don’t seem to be feeling well lately…”“Eh? …W-Which marimo?”“Which one…? All of these littles ones.”“Is that so… They all look the same to me…”“They’re not the same! Look, see! This little one here especially doesn’t look well, right?”“Y-Yes… Y-You are right…”Despite not being knowledgable about marimo, Rui decided to help Eru find ways so that his marimo could be well again.
As strange as this might sound, despite finding Rui/Eru to have one of the most interesting dynamics within Pitadoru since they are both guarded people, I can barely remember any moments between these two outside of the MASQUERADE index for some reason ( ˙-˙ ) so most of these facts/moments are from interviews.

When it comes to lives, to help ease Aaru’s nerves, Atom will suggest that they do stretches together.
One time, Atom was heading to the rehearsal hall for lessons when he saw Aaru on his way there. He decided to sneak up from behind and scare him, which naturally startled Aaru. Since they still had some time beforehand, they took a detour, and Atom treated him to a hamburger as an apology.
Aaru appreciates how Atom would reassure him with a smile like, “It’s gonna be okay!” whenever he lacks confidence. At such times, he really does feel like everything’s going to be okay.
Atom appreciates how Aaru is constantly thinking about the members, and he can’t imagine MG#4′s leader to be anyone else but him.
Atom once suffered from summer heat exhaustion. When Eru said that it feels weird not hearing that annoying, loud voice of his, Aaru scolded him, saying that that’s a mean thing to say, but it’s true that it feels at little lonely without him there. Atom suddenly appeared on Twitter, telling them not to tweet whatever they like just because he’s not there and that he’s still alive. When Rui and Eru failed to convince Atom to close Twitter and take a rest, Eru told Aaru to say something as the leader.
Aaru: Eh, ah, r-right! Atom-kun, if you don’t sleep quietly… I won’t bring you along to the festival! A-And I’ll forbid you from eating grilled meat for the time being, okay!
Atom immediately complied. Aaru felt bad afterwards, thinking that he might have been too harsh.
The members ended up paying him a visit together, partly to ease Aaru’s worries about Atom’s condition.
In the online secret short story for the recent drama CD “Hoshi Furu Yoru ga, Okoshita Yottsu no Kiseki”, Atom, Aaru and Alto were playing games together as a team. A few hours passed, and Atom suggested that it was time to go to sleep. However, Aaru was still immersed in gaming, saying that he was at a good part right now. Knowing that he would be up all night playing games at this rate, they both decided to keep him company.
