the first week of june brings to the residents of mapo-gu both the sweltering summer heat and a fervent anticipation. flyers attach themselves on every wall in the neighbourhood, simplistic in their design and clear in their message: the hongdae culturefest, everyone’s kickstart to a wild summer vacation, is back once more!
