Imaging going through the worst beating of your life while also being possessed by your greatest abuser and thinking about if there's a possibility of reanimating your dog.
Tomura, you're crazy for that.

BNHA 331 Highlights 🇺🇸
🚨 Warning: Three-page analysis of Star’s New Order incoming 🚨
Did Deku possess Shig for One? My God…😵💫
I’m having Hunter X Hunter war flashbacks 😮💨
One-shot manga centered around Ms. Star and Stripe when?😩
POV: You’re fighting the final boss of the United States 🌟😳❤️
I don’t think we’ve ever had a fight on this scale before. Star is truly next level 👀
Seriously. What. In All Might’s Name. Is going on here.
Frankly, it would be an honor to get struck down like this. I accept.
Also shocked and disgusted to see that the laser isn’t stronger than Endeavor’s Hellflame
Cassie 💛
Bonus points for Horikoshi for having the U.S. try to literally💥 Shiggy to smithereens
Very on-brand 💀
I knew my good sis Kathy wouldn’t go down without a FIGHT YES
MHA 331 Spoilers
Thinking more on the last 3+ chapters of Star and Stripe, and the meh that was Nagant before her.... both "older" (35+) women were dropped into the story out of nowhere for the purpose of being hot "villains" until they're defeated by young men. (Yes, SnS is framed as a "villain" by the art and the story. In case MVA wasn't clear, we're supposed to be rooting for Shigaraki to win against anyone except our core hero characters, and we're supposed to root for them to help Shigaraki, not kill him.)
What makes it worse is that both women are given storylines that touch on core BnHA themes, so there's a glimmer of hope we might get something beyond eye candy. For example, both women meddle too much as "heroes". Nagant commits extrajudicial assassinations for thought crimes and SnS, well.... *gestures to her invading a nation with bombers, missiles, lightning bolts and no clear permission to engage in combat*
And yet, Nagant and SnS fall flat because Horikoshi (and/or his editors) pull back. We don't get anything substantively meaty. What did Nagant really add about hero society that we (and Deku) didn't already know? Did the government create a secret assassination program because it knew hero society was failing? Did the heroes know they were being propped up? That's cool, I'm down for a dark HPSC, and seeing how good bureaucracy can stifle efforts to help citizens, and bad bureaucracy can corrupt good people. But all we get is surface-level "hero society bad." Same for SnS -- if Horikoshi has conflicted feelings about exported American media culture (which he clearly loves) vs American imperialism (which, history) , then I want to see the manga commit and fucking GO THERE. Show the dissonance between the two, especially in the context of meddling as heroism vs invasion. (Isn't this the post-WWII American mythos -- that Americans spread freedom by ridding foreign nations of their tyrant leaders? And doing so is heroically helping those nations find their bright future, right?)
But boobs and explosions are cool too.
