kacchan prioritizing izuku's life above everything and everyone and izuku losing himself in rage, he is the opposite of it like always, only for kacchan

midoriya grabs his backpack when the costumes come out—is that because the one his mom made is in there? how did he avoid having another costume made for him? did he just not wear the jumpsuit part of whatever the support companies made?

hdkshdkshd ok Iida definitely understands (at least some of) the implications—Midoriya says “Deku is fine!” after he hears Uraraka recontextualize it, and Iida and tries to convince Midoriya to reject the name because it’s an insult, and then looks so upset when Midoriya ignores him

ok so glad i watched the sub first because “deku sounds like the japanese word for ‘you can do it’” is so much better than the english manga translation or the dub—like it makes no sense how uraraka makes the mental connection between those two concepts if you don’t know there’s wordplay happening

also kind of impressive that uraraka got midoriya “doesn’t take himself into account” izuku to admit that bakugou bullied him on like day 2 of their friendship. like it was mostly accidental but still, that was lucky context for her. and Iida was right there to hear it too. idk I feel like this isn’t brought up in fanfic enough—just like bakugou has all the information needed to figure out something is off with Deku’s quirk, Iida and Uraraka have the information they need to figure out something is off with Deku’s past
