So I started playing Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and when I created Bruce, the first thing he said when I clicked on the thought bubble was that he didn't believe in ghosts.
Graduated Fandom University with my fanfic degree because I wrote my first ever A/B/O fic.
Which also happens to be a Brukage fic because they have established themselves as central to my brain chemistry.
Summary, Link, warnings, all after the cut because it is also quite a dark fanfic.
Content Warnings:
- Rape/Non-con elements
- Bloody and Injury
- Mild Gore
- Body Horror
- Non-consensual Body Modification
- Blood Drinking
Summary:
The pillow under his head, propping him up through the incongruent haze of his thoughts, is different to him, the same way everything else is. All of it is different, all of it is uncanny- like Hikage should know where he is, who he is, what the sheets of his own bed feel and smell like- but he doesn't, and nothing will tell him why he doesn't. Just that he never will, again, and that is that. Life keeps tumbling onwards- he will change, and hate every moment of it, but he cannot stop. It is a sick sort of astonishment and terror, one that pins him down so precisely and definitely that Bruce wouldn't even need to hold him against the bed.
Hikage watches him, through wide, unflinching eyes, as he shuffles the blankets and the pillows around Hikage's body, trying desperately to mimic the comfort of a nest but anything domestic and right is lost on the two of them. They are stuck in this strange, unnatural limbo, and it suffocates, wanting to push the air from Hikage's lungs and succeeding.

OR One For All is the only thing that can decide when and how it will be passed on. The grief it culminates in its wake, in its memories, helps Hikage along none.
