A reminder with all the BNHA 426 discourse that canon matters when you're a creator trying to tell a story, not when you're a fan trying to enjoy a story. We all love to see our favourites done justice in canon, but fictional characters live on in each of us and our experience.

By all means let canon make you feel, and perceive what's happening in canon critically. But if what's happening in canon is starting to impact you negatively irl, it's time to take a step back and remember that characters are ultimately a collective of what they mean to you.

Thinking about how Hori plans to wrap it all up in the next three chapters…

Sure, its a long shot but one can dream.

What if he gets it back? Or at least some version of it. What if Tenko really did die, and OFA bounces back to the soul of the last surviving wielder? What if it..resets?

Sure, it would probably break Izuku’s heart to know his last-ditch effort to save Tenko was in vain-a lie, but…

The Todoroki’s didn’t get their perfect happy ending, either. They all have to live with their trauma for the rest of their lives.

It would certainly rub salt in the wound. It would also give Izuku the rest of his life to…atone for the society Tenko and the league were subjected to, to ensure he has a part in the making of the new society that doesn’t let all the little Tenko’s of the world down. (Born of the hope that Kacchan gets one good thing, please, he’s been nothing but tortured and tormented since like the third chapter, let that boy get the rest of his life he dreamed of, let him have something, fuck)

And on that vein…

What if he doesn’t get it back? And is given the same treatment as Hawks? A place on the commission, working in tandem with Hawks to ensure that,

1. What happened to Hawks and Lady Nagant(and I’ll even go so far as to say Bakugo) doesn’t happen to any more baby prospective heroes. And,

2. What happened to Tenko, and others with “villainous” quirks, or no quirks at all, aren’t left behind in the new society.

Just a thought…what if he gets to start, with the rehabilitation of his father-fresh out of tartarus.

I mean, it could be Tenko reincarnated. But Hori did say we’d meet Izuku’s dad eventually.

I just really, really don’t think that character is Tenko.

I think it’s Izuku’s father who escaped Tartarus with the rest of the jail-breakers only to see his son, with a quirk, getting his fkn arms ripped off and being the greatest hero alive. It would explain the thing covering his mouth(fire breathing quirk), it would explain the sobbing and look of grief…

Just a thought. Or, rather, many thoughts.

I really hope the ending is good.

I LOVE Endeavor, actually.

How many times do we get to see an abusive parent grow enough to feel actual regret for their actions? How often do we get to see an abusive parent make actual attempts at atoning for their mistakes? How often do we see an abusive parent break down in grief over the consequences of their actions? How many times do we see an abusive parent say “I’ve hurt you too much, and will never be able to apologize in a way that makes up for that. I will understand if you never speak to me again.”

We GET to see Enji do, and feel all of these things, and we know its genuine because..the story is fkn fake-its manga, so it has to be genuine to be written into the story that way.

He feels it. Genuinely. Fiercely. And I just think that’s beautiful.

And, Natsuo-you did what you had to do for YOU, bud. I love you too.❤️
