(1/2, please tag as Jay) Hello, how are you today? I hope you're doing well, and thanks in advance for your help! Over the past nine months I've been in a tough situation at school and at home (home especially) and someone I know recently asked me if I had generalized anxiety disorder and/or social anxiety. She explained how I was acting related to several of the symptoms I looked it up. I am showing a bunch of the symptoms and anxiety issues run in my family (mom and grandmother both have it)
(2/2, please tag as Jay) I know some people say self diagnosis isn’t a thing, but if I have anxiety it would explain a lot of the problems I’ve been having recently. Now, I can’t tell my mother because of some things at home (we don’t exactly get along) so do you have any tips on how I could bring up the possibility to my dad? He’s mentioned it as a possibility before, but I can’t help but be nervous to bring it up in conversation. Thanks for your help!
Hi Jay!
I hope you are having a good day :)
i’m sorry that the last nine months have been a bit rough, that’s definitely not the nicest.
There are different types of Anxiety Disorder such as; Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
Some symptoms can include:
Feelings of panic, fear, and uneasiness
Problems sleeping
Cold or sweaty hands or feet
Shortness of breath
Heart palpitations
Not being able to be still and calm
Dry mouth
Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet
Nausea
Muscle tension
Dizziness
I personally am not a fan of self diagnosing so i think a trip to the doctor to talk about it is a great idea. If you don’t feel comfortable enough to ask your father face to face you could write a letter or send a text message? that way you can mention everything you want to without it being to daunting because he isn’t in the room with you. If you do want to talk face to face, you could write yourself a wee note of things you want to mention to him and sit him down to talk, maybe in your bedroom or somewhere you feel relaxed and comfortable ( to make it feel less nerve raking for you).
Good luck and I hope everything works out lovely <3
Feel free to send in another message if you have any other questions
Lots of love and hugs, Chrystal xx
please help.. i have really really bad anxiety and i have to speak in front of the class for presentations and im so scared idk what to do :(
Hi Hi love,
Being scared/having anxiety when thinking about or even actually talking in front of people is a lot more common than you think. i also get super nervous when talking in front of people, maybe talking to your teacher and see if they have any tips or tricks about talking could help ?
When i was at school my teacher gave me these pointers that helped me feel more at ease about talking in front of my class:
Know your topic. The better you understand the topic, the less likely you'll get off track. Take time to consider what questions the audience may ask and have your responses ready.
Try to be organized. Plan out the information you want to present, including any props, music or videos you may use to aid you. The more organized you are, the less anxious you'll hopefully be. Use a small cue card (about the size of your hand) to keep yourself on track.
Lots and lots of practice. Practice the speech or presentation as many times as you can. Do it in front of a few people you're comfortable with. Ask them to give you feedback. Or, record it with a video camera and watch it so that you can see opportunities for improvement. Also practicing in front of a mirror is good too.
Focus on your material, not on your audience. People mainly pay attention to new information not how it's presented. They may not notice your nervousness and even if they do, that okay. no one is going to be prefect at presenting something, everyone makes mistakes and that completely fine <3
Before you do your presentation/ group speaking take deep breathes i find counting in 1..2..3.. then out 1..2..3.. helps me. But i also found this super gif here of a kitty swaying that i breathe in and out too help regulate my breathing and calm me down before speaking.
I hope this has helped a little love, and lots of luck for your presentation you'll do great!
Lots of love and cuddles, Chrystal xxx
What is the difference between an anxiety attack and a panic attack?
Hi sweetie,
Panic attacks are something that comes on quite suddenly or out of no where and last about 10 minutes give or take (it just depends on the person).
some of the symptoms include:
Palpitations.pounding heart
Sweating, trembling, shaking
Chest pain or discomfort
Nausea, feeling dizzy, unsteady, lightheaded, or faint
While anxiety attacks are similar, they can last for a lot longer (hours, days, weeks or even months worst case scenario).
Some symptoms for anxiety attacks include:
Muscle tension
Difficulty concentrating
Fatigue or not being able to sleep for a full night
Being restless and irritable
Increased heart rate
Shortness of breath
Dizziness
I hope this has helped lovely.
Stay strong <3

I've been on antidepressants for three months now. But they haven't really helped. I haven't been suicidal, but I still don't feel like myself. I recently stopped taking them. I'm not worthy of recovery. Even as it is, things won't get better for a long time. I'm an ugly, worthless piece of trash who deserves to cut and starve and hate herself. I just don't see the point anymore. The cuts on my skin make me feel more like myself again. - YGA
hi darling,
you are worthy of recovery, you deserve to eat and be happy. you are not worthless so many people care about you, i care about you. things will get better sometimes they just take time.
i would go to your doctor and tell them how you have been feeling, sometimes the medication they have put you on isn't always right for you. it took me two goes at different medication before they found the right one for me. That could be a majoring factor in why you don't feel like yourself. Just stopping your medication is never a good idea because you get withdrawal symptoms, i would recommend you tell them that you stopped taking your medication so they have a clear picture of where to go from there.
I hope you make a great recovery and remind yourself that you do deserve to be healthy and happy.
Stay strong lovely <33
