I had this bizarre dream about the hero au it was the reader accidentally killing her family with her power after she got angry and lost control. It made me curious what is her home life like? Did her parents abandon her when her powers surfaced? I have so many questions

So Readers parents didn’t so much abandon her as they shunned her. They feared Reader’s powers because if you are powerful enough in this world even those without any powers can feel it? 

Being in the same room as the Reader is quite suffocating to anyone because her presence is just that overwhelming. So her family didn’t hate her, they just straight up feared her and avoided her as much as possible.   

She almost unconsciously suppressed and shielded herself at all times for years. To a point, it almost crippled her abilities. More on how exactly this neglect affected her, and her connection with Nines, in general, will be explored in the sequel.
