The 12 Houses, according to Dusty Bunker
"The First House:
We take our first breath at 0° on the wheel, reminiscent of emerging
from the Cosmic Egg. We open our eyes and encounter a new world
for the first time. We find ourselves alone in a new strange world, no
luggage in hand. All we know is that we exist, we are. We are totally
focused on self.
The Second House:
Here we settle into our new body and begin to realize we need
certain necessities in order to survive: food and water. A clean bottom is also helpful. Someone takes care of these needs so we
feel good about ourselves.
The Third House:
In the third house we learn that if our needs aren’t fulfilled, we can
find ways to get our message across: crying, kicking our arms and
legs, until someone reacts. This is where we
reach out to our immediate environment, to those beings around us,
to communicate our personal needs. Here we develop our method of
processing information and learning to think and express our
thoughts.
The Fourth House:
Now we realize that we belong to a group where one person seems
to rule. We learn that we have to share the attention and integrate
into this body. This is our harbor of safety, the family.
The Fifth House:
After learning the rules of living within the family dynamic, we feel the
urge to express our individuality apart from members of family. We
dare to reach out on our own to find our niche through our creative
talents. We explore our first loves outside the family unit and the love
of things that make us happy.
The Sixth House:
We now learn to develop useful skills around those creative energies
from the fifth house. We find that daily routines and a healthy body
are necessary to earn our keep and to be of service.
The Seventh House:
We have developed ourselves to the point that we now are ready to
step out into the world. Will others accept us? This is the house of
one-on-one personal relationships, where we discover who we are
through the mirror reflection of the other. This is where we set the
tone for all future relationships.
The Eighth House:
After joining with the other, we now have the capacity to create new
life. Along with this new life comes the responsibility to gather and
protect the resources that will ensure this life will continue.
The Ninth House:
Now that we are responsible for the group we have birthed, we
realize that laws must be made to protect the clan. Here our thinking
expands to include other groups that need protection. We enact
these laws and store them for future reference. The knowledge we
have gained along the way informs our belief systems.
The Tenth House:
In our burgeoning civilization, we realize there must be a central
core, a leader, an office, a place the public can look to for
representation. Here, we also take our place in the sun to receive
accolades as we contribute our skills in the public arena.
The Eleventh House:
Once we have contributed to civilization, we look around and ask
how can we enjoy the fruits of our labor or how can we use our life’s
experiences to help others. We may find that humanitarian service is
where the true rewards are bestowed.
The Twelfth House:
Here we find our spiritual core, where we desire to serve others
without recognition, where we finally realize that we are all One. We
have “danced round the ring” and have finally found the Secret that
“sits in the middle and knows.” "
