jonathan was abandoned at a fire station when he was an infant.

unlike his adoptive sister, who bounced plenty during her foster care years, jonathan was adopted by jeremy gilbert and vicki donovan right away.

they wanted to start a family and saw an opportunity in infant jonathan, even if there were no indication that he was supernatural.

his childhood was normal, his teenage years even more so.

sure, he was surrounded by supernatural beings, from a hunter father to a vampire mother to a witch sister, to an aunt who was a vampire, and now is human, but at some point, it all became normal to him.

jonathan applied for the mystic fire department as soon as he turned 18.

during a normal day, his fire squad were called to a building fire.

they began their usual routine as soon as arriving the location; walking inside, calling out for any injured people, and rescuing.

but, when an injured man was found, he stopped to administer care, and in the middle of it, an explosion occurred.

as concrete and pipes collapsed around him and fire took place, jonathan was fatally hit in the head.

he passed out, inhaled a lot of smoke and eventually died in scene.

he doesn't remember it happening, but he walked out of the building on fire without a scratch, heavily dirty and naked, as if his death never happened.

the speculation around his family is that he is a phoenix, but he is, in fact, a hellhound.

he as yet to learn how to coexist with the hellhound inside of him.

it is unknown what supernatural occurrence triggered the possession, but from what we learned and heard of jordan parrish's hellhound possession, it can't be good.

personality-wise, jonathan is laid-back, righteous, and after his possession, extremely withdrawn.

he strongly believes in right and wrong, but he feels as if there is something inside of him (the hellhound) who is completely neutral, neither good nor evil, having their own agenda, and he fears that that side of him might align with malivore in the future and hurt the people he loves.

(unlike roman sienna that i already had quite an extensive background and visualization of the character, i’ll be adding more to my ocs as i develop them!)

roman and his family were attacked by werewolves at some point in the 1920s.

he was found and saved by greta sienna, who adopted him.

in 1933, his adoptive family first encountered klaus mikaelson, who ripped his adoptive father's heart out and slaughtered most of his village, but klaus gave roman, greta and antoinette mercy.

at some point in 2026, roman enrolled in the salvatore boarding school for the young and gifted, per greta's instruction, to follow, befriend and seduce hope mikaelson. 

his adopted family was so ashamed after the encounter that they created a cult that believed in the true nature and purity of vampirism. 

he participated very little in this cult, seeing as he spent 50 years trapped in a cave, dessicated. 

yet, he did follow his adoptive mother’s prejudiced agenda unknowingly by getting close to hope and getting romantically involved with her.

while he too believed that the existence of werewolf-vampire hybrids were unnatural and wished to revert them back to their pure state, he was against murder, which is why he truly regrets his actions against the mikaelsons. 

also, he regrets to have lost hope for it, seeing as he was truly in love with her.

as for secretly aligning with malivore, he is attempting to settle an agreement between him and the necromancer. 

he wants to bring his family back; his parents. 

they were awful people, but they were his family.

he wants to give them a second chance.

he is rather jealous of how everyone, hope specifically, was lucky enough to have their dead parents returned to them. 

personality-wise, roman is charming and intelligent, but can be a little treacherous or ruthless in his goal pursuits.

𝗋𝗈𝗈𝗆𝗆𝖺𝗍𝖾  /  𝖻𝖾𝗌𝗍  𝖿𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗇𝖽  :   they are best friends, they live together, they bicker and tease each other 24/7, they act like a married couple, but the thought of hooking up make them go *almost throwing up emoji*. she is a pain in his ass, and as much as they tell each other everything, he has been lying to her about his alignment to malivore. it’s purely platonic because roman will probably stay in love with hope for the rest of his life, and his best friend can totally tease him about that!!!

mateo was adopted at the age of 5.

he doesn't remember much of his biological parents, but kind of wants to look for them.

stiles and lydia are his godparents.

he's been diagnosed with ADHD, can't sit still for longer than a minute, and has a lot of difficulty in paying attention and focusing.

he's a mixture of stiles and scott and people often joke that he is their son.

𝗈𝗇𝖾 - 𝗌𝗂𝖽𝖾𝖽  𝗂𝗇𝖿𝖺𝗍𝗎𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇  :   they barely know each other, but a one-sided infatuation (or rather, obsession) on mateo's end has made him pursue their relationship further. they're pretty friendly, they've seen each other around town, but she doesn't fall for his charms or antics, rather calls him out and teases him when he starts, what makes him even more into her.

𝖾𝗇𝖾𝗆𝗂𝖾𝗌  𝗐𝗂𝗍𝗁  𝖻𝖾𝗇𝖾𝖿𝗂𝗍𝗌  :   they hate each other but somehow are constantly sexually drawn to one another. she hates how he is a horny teen that only thinks about sex, but always ends up giving in and hooking up with him. he hates how she's so bossy of him, but always caves and do whatever she asks him to. they're polar opposites, but somehow, they attract each other.

he’s beauty, he’s grace, he’ll punch you in the face, repeatedly, until you pass out.

niels has quite an uncontrollable temper, some say he takes after his father, but truth is, he has undiagnosed intermittent explosive disorder.

it is rather shocking that he has yet to trigger his werewolf curse, to be honest.

he only has his vampire side triggered; it was triggered five months ago.

but whenever he gets into fights, his best friend usually gets him out of the situation and calms him.

she’s basically his anchor.

also, niels hates magic. rarely uses it.

having so many siblings and cousins, niels grew a bit reserved, introverted and restrained to people.

if you’re not his best friend or his family, he won’t warm up to you so easily.

𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗  𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

𝖻𝖾𝗌𝗍  𝖿𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗇𝖽  𝗐𝗂𝗍𝗁  𝗅𝗂𝗇𝗀𝖾𝗋𝗂𝗇𝗀  𝖿𝖾𝖾𝗅𝗂𝗇𝗀𝗌  :   they've known each other all their lives, what makes it 15+ years of friendship. they're best friends, attached to the hip, extremely domestic and comfortable around each other. they pretty much can't live without one another, but niels harbors romantic feelings that pass more than just friendship for as long as he can remember. he never acted on his feelings, afraid to make it awkward or lose his best friend. this could be mutual or simply one-sided on niels' end.

𝖿𝖺𝗆𝗂𝗅𝗒  𝖿𝗋𝗂𝖾𝗇𝖽  /  𝗋𝗂𝗏𝖺𝗅  :   they don't get along, no matter how hard they try. but both of their parents are good friends and are working together against malivore, forcing them to often see each other, hang out, train together, etc.
