For my boy Mǐ Dōng. I was wondering whether I should use hanzi (米冬) or pinyin so I put them both separately into Pinterest and the contrast was so funny for me, so I made two moodboards. Behold!

Hi Alina!! It's great to see you and thank you for the ask <3 Answering for Mirage of Spring

I've been having a ton of Rú Báiyàn thoughts lately. She's Xuěshǔ's right hand man - if something has to be done quickly and well, she's the right choice. She's also a competent martial artist. A friendly and intelligent gal, who likes to help people think things through. Sometimes those people arrive to conclusions she doesn't approve of but accepts that everyone has their own path.

Okay, she's not just sunshine and flowers. She, just like Xuěshǔ, is stupidly loyal, to the point of self-destruction. And the destruction of the person she's loyal to as well. Unlike Xuěshǔ, she isn't obsessive or jealous over the object of loyalty - she's generally more reserved, her basement is full of bottled up emotions.

Which, of course, doesn't help with her romantic life. And oh boy, is it messed up. She fell head over heals for Xuěshǔ, listened to him talking about Jīn Dōng and then met Jīn Dōng, and then... got a crush on him too. Both guys don't know about this btw. You need to know that Jīn Dōng and Xuěshǔ's relationship is a very toxic push and pull mess and now she's just stuck in the middle of this, having no clue who to support. She's sad wet kitten of a person. And a murderer, maybe I should mention that too, idk

Summary:

One snowy night, master Sū dies. The same night two disciples, Mǐ Dōng and Dài Zhūdiān disappear. Snowflakes cover their footprints and for years no-one can track them. Many do all that is in their might to do this, for more masters were falling under an invisible sword. Things get complicated when Mǐ Dōng enters the world of martial arts and, at the same day, with a great blizzard his first appearance makes Xuěshǔ, who claims to be the assassin. Quickly ministers and generals invade the lives of Mǐ Dōng and Dài Zhūdiān, for which they both were never prepared.

Watch the balance achieved with blood and tears being disrupted, the ministers and nobles murdering for their own selfish goals and the unfolding of the tragedy of those, who had only wished for a peaceful life.

Main Character/s:

Mǐ Dōng (米冬), he/him A man in his twenties, obsessed with martial arts. Even though he left his sect, and some even blame the death of his master on him, he’s highly regarded. Doesn’t care much for the outside world due to a blend of introversion and pride.

Dài Zhūdiān (戴朱巅)​, he/him Chaotic friend of MD, who left the sect with him looking for an adventure. He’s slowly going insane, having to take care of all the mundane stuff. Often his creativity in martial arts is praised, but even more often his lack of self-control is criticized.

Xuěshǔ (雪鼠), he/him White-haired assassin, whose talents are on pair with those of an old master. No-one knows where he came from and what is his goal. In the shadows he plots, prepares and recruits, making half of the kingdom hold its breath.
