do you even think about the tckas group having differences based off of east coast vs west coast? like accents, phrases, etc. like i can imagine mis and ezra yelling for an hour over correct pronunciation
oh that's a good question and i think so, probably. it definitely depends on the specific character because malcolm probably wouldn't care, but ellery would be really specific about what something is called (like long sandwiches — some people call them subs, some people call them hoagies and she'd definitely have a strong opinion about which one is right). and mia and ezra would probably feel strongly about pronunciation (like how caramel is pronounced or crayon)
Book Review #2
Review: Two Can Keep A Secret by Karen M. McManus
I’ll start off this review by saying that this book was one of the BEST mystery book I have ever read. Yes, its not a very long book but the story is great.
I got into Karen McManus’ books by reading One of Us is Lying and its sequel, One of Us is Next. Once I read those two I knew I had to read more of her books and so I decided on this one.
I absolutely adore the characters. Especially Ellery and Ezra Corcoran, Mia Kwon, and (This guy is my favorite) Malcolm Kelly. These are just a few of some really good characters in this book.
This book starts off with a mystery and ends in a very surprising plot twist. With all the suspense in this book, it took me less than a day to read it. I couldn’t put it down. The book captures your attention right at the start and leaves you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
The book has great diversity, character development, and suspenseful plot lines. I would give this book a five star rating and I highly recommend this book to lovers of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson. They are similar in a variety of ways from a town full of mysteries to a family shunned because of a family member being suspected of murder.
Read it! I adore this book.

random headcanon
she knows how to play a bunch of instruments but she doesn't care for them
unpopular opinion
i wish she had been in more scenes but i doubt that's an unpopular opinion
I love my sapphic darling Mia. She deals with racism, biphobia, sexism, and bullying everyday, yet she doesn’t let that silence her. She has so much will power and strength that no one seems to notice. I love her with all my heart
^^^ Mia deserves the world and that’s that
The way that TCKAS’s town is just gives me chills. When nana says that girls don’t come back in this town. When people are so desensitized to missing girls. The fact that no one seems to react or reacts so extremely. We rarely see someone just cry a little. We have violence, meltdowns, and no emotions at all. It makes you feel like these people aren’t even real. Mia and Mal are the exceptions, and that’s what makes them outcasts. They are the only ones who are unapologetically human
Yes! You said it well, this entire town is walking around in unprocessed shock and Mal and Mia were so close to what happened but they remember everyone as they used to be. Sometimes I wonder if they are the ones who are desensitized because they were naive enough to believe that Brooke would come back
Hm ok what taste in music do you think the TCKAS characters have?
Ezra: rock? Ellery said he's a big Guns 'n Roses fan so I'd assume he'd listen to stuff like AC/DC and The Rolling Stones
Malcolm: I feel like he'd listen to the type of bands that sort of fall into the same category as Ezra's music but not really? Bands like Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, and OneRepublic
Mia: I think her music would overlap with Ezra and Malcolm's, but with HAIM and Paramore thrown in
Ellery: It varies. Sometimes she'll listen to Guns n' Roses with Ezra, sometimes she'll be playing Taylor Swift and Adele. I think it really depends on her mood but she's always down to listen to Halsey or Julia Michaels
ellery: we’ll get in, or die trying!
malcolm: no one’s dying
mia: not with that attitude
