Le Nozze favorites: character interactions + Finale of Act II
While going through my opera recordings, I found some time to revisit the only master I’ve made and indeed the only live opera performance I’ve seen (so far).
This was back in 2012 when the Bavarian State Opera came over to Hong Kong (with Sir Tom as Don Alfonso <3) and I’m so glad they decided to perform Così fan tutte which you can probably all guess by now is my favourite opera.
So without further ado, here’s my all-time favourite opera trio, Soave sia il vento, sung by Miah Persson, Tara Erraught and Thomas Allen and accompanied by the Bavarian State Orchestra which was conducted by Mark Wigglesworth.
(This is my audio master and remaster, please do not repost outside of Tumblr, thank you!)
Normal Così Fan Tutte production: okay we’ve had our bit of tomfoolery, now the original couples are back together and everything’s good - no conflicting feelings, right?
2006 Glyndebourne production: *conflicting feelings everywhere*
it’s my birthday AND pride month so naturally here’s a collection of some of my favorite Gay Opera Kisses

Isabel Leonard and Miah Persson in Cosi Fan Tutte at The Met 2010.
well that’s the sickest burn I’ve seen in the British opera press this year
Surprise Creepy Opera Time!
“She is here, in my own room” from The Turn of the Screw by Benjamin Britten.
Sung by Miah Persson as the governess and Giselle Allen as miss Jessel.
