💕 On March 14, news came to me of the death of Mia Ikumi, mother of "Tokyo Mew Mew" and "Super Doll Rika-Chan". She died on March 7, but the news on Twitter didn't come out until the 13th from the official channel of the Tokyo Mew Mew reboot. 

I'm honestly too devastated to say anything meaningful right now. I've been crying for hours. No, I want to be honest. I've been crying for days. A part of my childhood and my being has just flown away. One thing I do want to say though, and I hope you can read it somehow.

💖  THANK YOU! 💖 Thank you Mia Ikumi for everything. For the laughs, the cries, the fangling, the hours spent reading you even though I know them by heart by now. Thank you for sharing your art with us. 💕

Unfortunately I will never be able to tell you how important you have been to me, how much courage and strength you have given me with a simple manga with a cat girl. But know that you will always remain in my heart. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💖 You will always be with us, in our hearts. And we will always remember you. In the black cats we'll see around. In the majokko with animals. In the red pigtails of other characters. In present and future cosplays all over the world. We will see you and remember you forever. 💖

Thank you Mia. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You will never know how much you meant to me. How much you saved me with a simple manga. But I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Rest in peace now. Love you forever...
