What is the most important thing you seek in role-play?

Communication. And connections and friends, for sure! For both me and my muse. The roleplay is important of course, but even when RP is put on hold, I absolutely cannot do without the connection outside of it. I am never about RP just for the RP itself. I want to be friends, to hear about how they’re doing, what they’re excited for. I want to hear about their characters (I babble a lot about my own muse but for serious, just yell stuff back about your own characters because I guarantee I want to hear your half too–I just suck at asking sometimes) and about our characters. This is kind of a given with friends, but I also want to be sure that both (or more) muns involved are comfortable with what’s going on. We have to talk. We have to be honest and considerate with each other.

What would be your muses favorite power ranger and why?

I wasn’t sure where to begin with this one–I haven’t watched the show in over a decade and only the original series. I remember pretty much nothing so I had to do some research!

I don’t think Cuinn would have a favourite fictional character in general as he doesn’t have much interest in what doesn’t actually exist, but if he were to pick one, I’d say it would probably be Trini Kwan (yellow) or Zack Taylor (black). Based on their wikis, they both seem to be pretty compassionate and level-headed. Zack would remind Cuinn of his “brother” Bran, for his wit and friendly/outgoing personality. Trini seems more ambitious, meticulous, and outwardly calm, all qualities that Cuinn appreciates in other people.

1.) What do you love most about your characters your role-play? 2.) Tell us one secret about one of your Muses! ^_^

I spent a while trying to figure out if I had reblogged something to warrant these questions but I don’t think that’s the case! So thank you for taking the time to come up with these.

1/ In general, I like to think my characters are unique and reflect in wildly different ways the fragments of me that they inevitably are. Cuinn is the only one I’m actively writing and he is by far the most affected, most flawed, most wanting character I’ve ever had.

If I had to name one thing I love most… it’s hard to say, but I think it’s his curiosity. He’s a nigh impenetrable surface a lot of the time but below that, he is extremely reactive (and often internally screaming in both good and bad ways). He wants to know things even if they are not important to him, but especially if they are important to someone else. His gaze hardly stops wandering and he has a strong tendency to look–not scrutinise or examine–at things or people, without judgment or expectation. He’s often listening intently and reaching out to touch. Usually he doesn’t do anything with that information, though.

2/ This was difficult as he’s actually a fairly open person if you treat him well. I guess one secret would be that he actually really likes taking the last piece of food on a communal dish because he enjoys the interaction following (see this post), having the satisfaction of finishing the dish, and might hope whomever he robbed of the experience will order some more food... It’s not that he likes to eat, but that he likes simply sharing food.

👔 (in formal clothes) or 👑 (as royalty)?

So sorry for the wait. Here are Ririka and Kizen! I feel like I didn’t do Ririka’s face shapes justice but Tumblr keeps imploding on me whenever I look at actual blogs for references… I hope I did okay! I based these outfits off what is supposedly Chinese royalty (I didn’t verify any sources). I think this is fitting for Kizen. xD They both seem suited to positions of authority.

I included some references to the sokou/cockatrice. What’s funny is that while I was looking this up just now to check the term, I realised that Shattered Pieces didn’t actually use canon bijuu! Yonbi turned out to be a simian. Supposedly the Yonbi was the weakest of the nine. Kizen sure talks a big game, doesn’t he... though I suppose his personal prowess has something to do with being able to back that up. I should take him out of his context and really integrate him with the sokou.

♥♥!! Likewise, you know!! I’ve been thinking about this for a while now and I honestly get so stuck on which character omg there are so many. I’d be open to a thread with any of them, and most likely we can devise some sort of starter to throw any pair together. Perhaps with someone who hasn’t gotten a lot of action lately? Or if you have someone in mind, I’m happy to do a little plotting either way.

I won’t dispute the former–that’s your opinion–but I’m probably the least sexual person I know. I may be able to write along those lines for my characters to an extent, but besides vague curiosity, I have little to no interest in it for myself.
