Heeeey Michael, it's Carrie's secret admirer here. I'm getting serious "I don't like you" vibes from you, so can I make you a peace offering in the form of a question? If so, how did you end up joining the others slashers here? Also, please don't kill me, I come in peace.
The man in question doesn’t move a muscle, even as you speak to him. He just keeps staring down at you, his silence only serving to make the tension worse.
“Daddy?” Carrie notes the tension, coming over and taking hold of Michael’s sleeve. “Hey, i-it’s okay! They’re just being nice to me; isn’t that a good thing?” She offers up, smiling.
Michael takes a moment to contemplate this, before his shoulders fall. As protective as he is, she raises a good point: positive attention in any form is much better than what she used to endure. After what she’s told him, he does not want to see her get tricked and humiliated again. Defeated, he gives you a nod, showing that he’ll allow you to continue.
The girl turns back to you to answer your question. “We all met a long while ago! That’s why many of us already know one another…” Carrie explains, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.. “As for how he got here… or, really, how any of us got here… we’re not too sure. It’s all a little weird… but I figure we probably shouldn’t ask too many questions.”
Michael looks to the side, directing your attention toward two familiar women observing from afar: Jess and Vana. He nods their way, suggesting they have something to do with it, before turning back to you and making an odd, spider-like gesture with his hand.
Carrie looks up to watch him. “Yeah, it could be that.” -- J: After meeting, a lot of the Slashers grouped up into little families, since so many of them didn’t have homes to return to. Since the cat’s out of the bag, Michael’s unofficially “adopted” Carrie, and another silent son. Carrie’s supernatural gifts really come in handy when it comes to having an adoptive father and brother who don’t speak!
