Books in which the author visits a foreign country and then proceeds to devour, quite literally, that country’s cuisine, and by extension its culture, are becoming a micro-genre in itself. And I can’t think of any where else I’d rather visit-eat-read about than Japan; fortunately, Picador has just released Super Sushi Ramen Express by Michael Booth.
