Digimon Hunters Episode 3

Ousuke Atsuko went into the Digimedical Ward, what they codenamed the -10th floor where Digimon were treated for this new virus. Some scientists have codenamed the virus the Wrath X Virus, because it makes Digimon extremely wrathful and they’re treated on the -10th floor. “Mr. Atsuko! Come quick!” One of the scientists shouted for Ousuke.
Ousuke walked over and said, “What is it?”
“This Lopmon has a memory before the Wrath X Virus infected it.” The scientist said with a mix of glee and fear.
“Well what is it?” Ousuke asked impatiently.
“Lopmon said it remembered a figure in purple armor, but not much else.” The scientist spoke.
Ousuke thought on this for a while, but there were many Digimon who dressed in purple armor. And man could build a virus that only affects Digimon, and causes hallucinations.

Andrea Fitzgerald, also known as Drea, waited in Tokyo Haneda Airport, her mother left for the housing that the new employer offered, but Drea was offered a position in the RK Foundation as a Junior Operative, but she had to wait for another Junior Op, who she didn’t remember the name of. About 20 minutes or so passed when a boy around her age with blonde hair, brownish eyes, and in an orange hoodie ran up to her, trailed by a Leomon. “Are you Andrea Fitzgerald?” The boy asked.
“Yeah, are you the other Junior Op?” Drea asked in return.
“Yeah, I’m Michael Kane, but you can call me Mikey.”
“Call me Drea. Do you know when the guy is gonna arrive?”
“Mr. Ousuke Atsuko should be arriving any moment now.” As soon as the boy said that, Ousuke Atsuko wandered into the airport and signalled for them to go to him. Drea and Mikey walked over and Ousuke said, “Hello, Miss Fitzgerald, you mother had your friend Bearmon dropped off this morning, he is getting along well with the other Ops and the Rangers.”
“Well that’s a good thing, did he try to fight any of them?” She sounded a little concerned when she said that.
Ousuke paused for a second. “Yes, yes he did. I think he tried to fight Ogremon almost immediately. Anyways, if you would step into the car I have brought with myself, I will take you to the RK Foundation slash base of the Junior Operatives.”
About an hour or so later, we zoom into the 13th floor of the RK Foundation where Nick, Dan, Adri, and Rusty are in the training room, being spectated by Jay and Hallie in the spectators room, Hallie looked over to Jay, “Are you sure it was such a good idea to have them go against Zubamon?”
“Hallie, if they cannot handle Zuba’s Ultimate form, with 3 rookie digimon and 1 champion, then the field will be the toughest experience for them.” Jay responded, crossing his arms and looking out into the training room.
The simulated environment shuts down and the kids step out of the training room with Duramon following them, devolving back into Zubamon and saying, “The Digikids, and Ogremon, did well, Ogremon and Dorumon work great together, but the human kids, especially Daniel needs to work on his teamwork with the others.”
As Zubamon finished talking, Ousuke, Drea, and Mikey entered the room. Drea’s eyes lit up, “Adri!” She ran forward and gave the redheaded girl a hug, “You work here too?”
“Yea! We saw your Bearmon earlier, he bothered the heck out of Ogg when he tried to fight him,” She then whispered, “It was kind of funny.”
Ousuke Atsuko cleared his throat and spoke, “I have an announcement to make, we are restructuring how smaller missions work, instead of sending all of the Junior Ops on one mission, we’ll send two or three of you at a time, to make sure you all have equal experience in the field, for now at least.”
“What about for larger missions, like an Ultimate level?” Mikey asked before Dan could.
“Then we will send more of you to make sure you have the best chance of victory without too much spotlight on us, and it’s less collateral damage.” Ousuke responded.
“And also less paperwork.” Jay added.
As they finished their conversation, an alarm started blaring, signalling the arrival of a new Infected Digimon in the city. This time in Sankeien Garden, Ousuke looked at the cast and said, “Andrea, Daniel, and Michael. You are going to be dispatched.”
Bearmon, who was previously napping on one of the chairs perked up at the sound of that and said, “Let’s go! We’re gonna go fight!”
Ousuke smiled and said, “A wonderful spirit to have in situations like this, but try to dial it down a little.”

They arrived in Sankeien Garden where the group saw Snimon attacking the garden, and as soon as they saw it, it pinpointed their location with its antenna, and it launched two pink scythes at the group, Dan, Drea, and Mikey all jumped out of the way, but Leomon simply stood and tanked the attack, leaving only a scratch on its body. “Heck yeah, let’s go!” Bearmon yelled, jumping into battle, driving his fist into Snimon’s chest with all of his strength.
Snimon stumbled back, screeching at Bearmon, preparing to attack by slamming his whole body into Bearmon, but before it could, Leomon threw Ryudamon at Snimon, Ryudamon firing an iron blade into Snimon as he flew over. Then Leomon punched, sending an aura of itself into Snimon, causing it to stumble backwards. Snimon launches itself into Leomon, sending him flying back into a tree, but before Snimon could slash, Bearmon curled up and charged into its back, sending it flying forward. Seeing an opportunity, Ryudamon launches several explosions at Snimon, causing it to stumble and fall into the water. The group saw bubbles come up and then they started slowing down, Mikey held his breath, before jumping into the water. He swam down and didn’t see the giant Snimon he jumped in after, and instead saw a smaller Kunemon passed out sinking into the depths of the pond. He reached out for it, cradling it in his arms as he swam back up. When he reached the surface he released his breath as Leomon pulled him back onto land Mikey coughed out, “Thanks Leo.”
Leomon then looked at his partner and said, “No problem Mike.”
Dan looked surprised and said, “That was commendable Kane”
“It’s nothing, if you’re good in the universe, the universe is good to you.” Mikey replied, not noticing the hints of sarcasm or shock in Dan’s voice.
“What do we do after these functions?” Drea asked.
Dan looked at her a little confused, “We get back into the car and leave.”
Drea paused for a second, “Yeah, I suppose that’s a little obvious now that I think of it.”
“It’s ok pal, we all have slip ups, like this little buggun here.” Mikey said, shifting the Kunemon to his other arm to pat Drea on the shoulder.
As the rest of the group got into the car, Leomon fell to his knees coughing, with only Mikey noticing, “You good Leo?”
“Yeah, I’m fine, it’s just digi-allergies, a much different climate than Canada.” Leomon responded, getting into the vehicle, his head hitting the top of the car.

Ousuke Atsuko was in his office, awaiting a phone call from the Digimedical Ward about the Kunemon. His office phone rang, he picked up saying, “You’ve reached Ousuke Atsuko, speak now.”
“Mr. Atsuko, about the Kunemon, we’ve detected no forms of the Virus we can, however the boy who brought it in has not left its side.” The scientist said to him.
“That is peculiar in this line of work, but if you brought a sick animal into the vet’s office, you wouldn’t want to leave it either.” Ousuke responded.
“We’ve already alerted the boy's father, but he didn’t seem to be surprised.”
“Yes, for a good kid like Michael Kane, I doubt this would be surprising to his parents.” Ousuke hung up the phone, it was a waste of time for him, it didn’t have anything to do with the virus. A beep went off in the distance, it was a secret messaging service, Lenora, one of the other 10 founders would be in Japan to meet this new group of Junior Ops.
