657 Signatures: The Fate Of Craig Of The Creek
Over the past few weeks, the petition has reached 657 signatures. We are slowing gaining progress. Unfortunately, our efforts may have been spent in vain.
Last Friday, Craig Of The Creek co-creator, Ben Levin posted on twitter confirming that the show's final episode has been written. This means Craig Of The Creek will come to a close after season 5, with a total of 7 episodes cut from the order. By the end of 2023, Craig Of The Creek may end with a total of 5 seasons (141 Episodes) and 1 movie.
David Zaslav's reckless actions in merging Warner Bros. with Discovery has led to another high quality cartoon being purged from the network. It seems certain that he will not be dissuaded in his efforts to destroy good animation for his own selfish desires. However, not everyone has given up hope.
This week, CN President Michael Ouweleen posted that he will bring Cartoon Network back to the original charter for future, bringing focus to ALL audiences instead of strictly for kids. If he opposes Zaslav's agenda, he may be able to get several projects moving again, including Craig Of The Creek, Mao Mao, Victor and Valentino, and maybe even Infinity Train and Final Space.
Craig Of The Creek is one show that Cartoon Network actually NEEDS and can NEVER replace. Cancelling it is a huge mistake ,It deserves more seasons than what is has right now, and If Ouweleen can help, we must take a chance. Until then, keep on signing, sharing, and fighting.
