Just a theory, but I suspect Michael Rauch may be a teensy bit bitter, and I don’t think anyone will blame him. What this means is we’re getting an unresolved ending following a whole crapload of Screwed By The Network, which on the one hand is....good? for fanfic writers but. Generally not great.
What we can hang on to: James Patterson will keep writing books about weird funhouse mirror versions of our beloved characters so long as the checks clear. And maybe if enough books sell the series can get a reboot, or continuation. The second in the series is coming out September 9, I’ve got my pre-order in. If you can’t do that, ask your local libraries to order a copy or two. And everyone tune in on Sunday to make sure the CBS era goes out with a bang.
