Look, I don't know you from Adam and I never post stuff here because of crushing bashfulness, but you are absolutely, 100% the least hacky fic writer I've ever read. Your stuff is not only good, it's scorchingly original.

I like to think that I'm an ideas person, I have great ideas. The execution? Eh, not so much. But I am trying very hard to become a better writer so I keep trucking along, hoping that I will get closer and closer to delivering on the promise of the idea.
I'm working on a couple of stories now, one for Yuletide and one for the VM Gift Exchange. The former is fine so far, I can live with it. The latter is like a NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. It is the literary equivalent of a child moving two dolls from one area to another. Putting them to bed, dressing them, moving their limbs, having them kiss, then putting them back to bed. I feel like a hack, writing fic by the numbers, and I am going to be in a state of panic until I think my way out of it.
Veronica Mars Holiday Gift Exchange Update
So it's been not quite a week since I sent out assignments. I still have a handful of people who have not confirmed with me that they have received their assignments. I assume it's a mix of not checking their messages, thinking they confirmed when they didn't and tumblr being outrageously stupid. Mostly the last one.
I've sent them all messages but have only heard back from a couple.
I am tagging the people I still haven't received a confirmation from so they know that they need to get in touch with me.
