Grand Line High AU: The Comic Lounge

Even seeing the girls unexpectedly at the tea shop. Put a chipper on all the boy’s moods just a bit as they made their way to the comic lounge. Law pre-order the latest comic series he has been into and wanted to share it with Michelle so they can go over it together and debate what would happen. He enjoys those kinds of chats with her getting her side and enjoy how she analyzes everything.
Ace went to enjoy the comics and the game lounge where he said he was the best at call of duty. As he would quote on quote make those cheeks clap…….. (sorry guys I had too.). A lot of the Grand Line high guys came here to hang out on the weekends gaming area, action figure section, comic lounge and even a concession stand. A lot of the girls scattered to their different places due to their different interests.
Marco and Katakuri enjoy taking a breather from their duties from school and from home when they can. Though their parents Marcos father Principal Newgate and The headmistress of the Lunch Area Big Mom seemed to bump heads at times. Both boys avoided when they bumped heads they would be on the far side of the campus.
“All I’m saying is to listen to what I’m saying it worked!” Ace said.
“If I recall how you asked Lari out I distinctly remember you being a complete nervous wreck ya.” Law said. He watched the whole scene in front of him.
“Well yeah me being in front of my firefly made me nervous she is so beautiful.” Ace said “but the point made my move. I mean if you don't, some other guy is going to snatch them up.” They made their way into the shop. Ace pulling them to the figure section. The three guys looked at him as he held two figures in his hand “this is you and this is them.”
“oh god” Marco rubbed his temple.
“Listen carefully now… you tell them ~hey I’m in love with you~” Ace said. “then they would confess their feeling and that when the magic begins. Then you guys zing! The kiss sealing the deal. Then you will be together then get married and have a family then grow old together.”
All three had a deadpan face “I think that is thinking too far ahead of everything.” Katakuri scratches the back of his head.
“Agreed.” Marco and Law said.
“Well then baby steps confession then the kiss far enough?” Ace said.
“I can’t guarantee anything but I can see where it goes ya.” Law said as he was eyeing the comic section. “I need to go over there like right now.” Law walking away.
“Hey Ace I heard you trying to get them cheeks clap at black ops.” Sabo said.
“Oh it’s on like donkey kong.” Ace said.
Marco and Katakuri both sighed. “ I guess we will all meet up after what we came to get yoi?”
“ yeah…” Katakuri and Marco began to head off in different directions.
Law seeing the section of the new release of the comics. He wanted to see what was new before going to the counter for his pre order item. Walking past the literature section he finds his classmate who was rather quiet. Lucci who was looking at some of the books. Law had a hunch he was looking at the books that he and Michelle were interested in. There was small talk among the two but nothing serious. Lucci sensed someone passing by giving a side glance to Law. Lucci was holding a literature book that Law and Michelle already read a few months back. “Law.” Lucci said, straightening up his poster.
“Lucci.” Law said he looked at the book. “That book wasn’t all that great. Me and Michelle saw the failed plot line and left a lot of twists and turns recommending the series above it ya.” Law pointed out another series Michelle disliked. Slightly throwing Lucci off before continuing to walk to the section of destination. The book in Lucci's hand was pretty good but he didn’t want Lucci to know that. Law scanned and zone into each comic noticing some releases he read about online.
Marco was looking at the different multilingual books for a while. He was learning the basics of Spanish and was getting the hang of it. Oftentimes he and Katakuri would practice with one another. Looking at the different books on the shelf trying to find one that caught his eye. “Well, isn't it the Student body president” Hearing the deep voice of someone who slightly agitated him.
“Oi crocodile. How are ya yoi?” He said. Even though he wanted to say what the hell do you want.
“Well, I'm just going to grab a specific book. Thinking of asking Valerie to dinner this coming weekend.” Putting his hand in his pocket. “You wouldn’t mind that I mean you guys are just friends.”
Did Marco hear that right? “Wait, you're going to ask her out?”
“Why is she my type after all?”Crocodile said. “ I think she is into me too.”
The fuck she is not in Marcos minds. Marco now knowing this guy was possibly going to try and take Val his little bird from him. Marco looking at the Crocodile for a moment before croc pulled a book down from the shelf and began to walk before saying. “You know I like the nickname Little Bird. Maybe I will use it for her.”
“Over my dead body.” he said under his breath now Marco felt the need to push himself more to get his true feeling out before it is too late.
In Katakuri’s mind he was still trying to pronounce certain words in Spanish while reading a Latin cookbook and seeing the cover of different colored Concha. Maybe she would like it if I made these for her? Debating for a moment on whether to get it. Walking to the register to see the other pink hair guy in the school other than himself. “Hey Kata.” Koby said behind the register
“Hey Koby.” Katakuri along with everyone were surprised with Koby’s glow up over the summer break. Garp was ruthlessly training the lad day and night. This seemed to also give Koby some confidence in talking to people. Seeing how friendly he was becoming withe Savannah.
“Oh, is this for a home ec project?” Koby looked at the book.
“Sorta iI wanted to try some new recipes.. In spanish.” Katakuri said.
“Oh Savannah likes these, I think they are called conch.” trying to pronounce the word
“Conchas.” he cleared his throat “She likes Conchas.”
Feeling the awkwards silence between them he began purchasing the book. “ Well, have a good day!” Koby responded
“You too.” Katakuri began to look for the rest of the members. Seeing law with his new coming in his hands. Marco seemed to be thinking of something still in the book section. “Is he okay?”
“May he be trying to think of what to get ya?” Law said looking in the direction of Marco
“TOLD YOU I WOULD MAKE THOSE CHEEKS CLAP!” Ace shouted in the game room he stood up raising the controller over his head.
“Dude, that did not count. I want a rematch.” Sabo said.
“Dude you are playing the best.” Ace said.
“Yea okay that's best.” hearing the man that he couldn’t stand with a passion Bellamy.
“Oh Bellamy, I didn't see you there. I thought it was someone important but it's just you.” Ace said.
“Funny Ace.” he laughed sarcastically. “So you left that pretty little girlfriend of you by herself today?”
“My firefly is with her friends this weekend. She doesn’t need to be on my hip every second of the day.”
“Really so her friends are with her. I bet I would be able to sing by and take him out for a while.”
“Yea sure that will be the day when pigs fly.” Ace said. Both of the boys giving a death glare stare down.
Marco snapping out of his trance hearing the two loud people bickering. Pushing what Crocodile said to him in the back of his mind making sure a brawl doesn’t happen here. “Like I said big head, I will make those cheeks clap in this game as well.” Ace said.
“ Is that a challenge freckle face?” Bellamy.
“You know we are going to be here all night now right?” Katakuri said.
“No, I'm not planning on staying all night, I have plans.” Law said
“Ace i think its best we go yoi.” Marco said.
“But i was just gonn.” he was cut off by marco
“Come on, I think Lari may want to see you today. Do you want to keep her waiting?”
Ace saw what Marco was doing. “Yeah I think I'm due for some of my Firefly love. We will put a pause on the game challenge.”
As the boys began heading out of the lounge Ace let out a huge sigh “He bugs the living shit out of me..”
“You shouldn’t because you have Lari already.” Law said, flipping through the pages of the comic. “Speaking of bugs, What was making you think deep Marco ya?”
“Crocodile is going to ask out Val.” Marco said.
“Are you planning on telling her soon then?” Katakuri asked.
“Yeah I have to. The nerve of him trying to use my nickname for her.” Marco said. The three guys saw Marco flexing his jaw saying in a serious low tone.
“So when are you planning on telling her?” Law asked.
“I'm not sure I will think of something yoi.” Marco said.
“Well it better be soon before croco boy does and honestly he is a very smooth talker if he talks to Val in spanish its done deal.” Ace said.
“That didn’t help.” Marco furrowing his brows at him.
“Tell her today man you know where she is to meet her somewhere.” Ace
Law looking at his watch, she needed to start heading out to the location he promised to meet Michelle at. “I have to get going.”
“Remember what I taught you. ~Michelle Mi Xao i’m in love with you.”
“Ace if you don't want that rock thrown at your face I suggest you not use Mi Xao that is not for your use.” Law blushing slightly before quickly leaving.
“He is going to tell her I know it.” Ace chuckled.
Marco sees the book in Katakuris hands. “Planning on making her some yoi?” he asked
“Yeah… I need to try and make more of an effort to express myself to her.” he looked at the book in his hand.
“I think surprising her with the Conchas then the note you were planning on giving her she is a very appreciative person.” Marco smirked.
“She is and that's one of the traits I do love about her.” Katakuri smirked. Both him and Marco looked at Ace who was seeming to be texting most likely Lari.
“Sooo Marco. Lari told me to tell you to meet Val at her home. I told her you wanted the note from biology class.”
“You didn’t.” Marco said.
“Yeah, so I think you should hurry up. She is on her way home right now.” Ace said.
“Just wait…” Marco sighed before he began to take off.
“You had to do that?” Katakuri sighed.
“Well Val doesn’t know he is on his way, it will be a surprise. Lari just told me the girls began to separate. But definitely you should tell Savannah sooni know you both maybe shy but if you continue to be very shy nothing will get accomplished. Just the question of what if trust me you wont regret it big guy.” Ace slapping his back. The both of them began to head to the destinations they were meant to go.
