If you’re a fan of any of the women of iZombie you might like our Ladies of DCTV 💚Month of Love💚 event coming up. It’s running August 1st to 31st 2021, with sign-ups open now to give people plenty of time to create for it.   The aim is to have at least 1 new post/fanwork each day focused on the ladies of DCTV so that we have a wonderful month full of appreciating them all.  

Anyone who wants to take part can claim a day in August when they commit to posting something centered on any of the ladies of DCTV. Any kind of fanwork is welcomed, including meta, recs lists, or picspam. It doesn’t have to be long - it could be a 100-word drabble, a few icons, or a character appreciation post - basically, anything gen-focused to show your love for the character(s) you pick.

Sorry it took so long (and that they’re so rambly lol), but finally some Clive/Michelle/Dale headcanons for anon!

So ideally, we would tackle the fact that these three were probably the best example on how to not do polyamory. Liv takes a brain that’s particularly intrusive but super supportive (so..basically herself x200) and sits them all down and tells them that hey, if they understand open relationships and still don’t want to do this that’s totally fine, but that she wants to make sure that they definitely know what it is and consists of.

They all kind of rolled their eyes at that one but Liv took them through a pretty extensive conversation and they all kind of realize at different points that, “Whoops, okay, I maybe sort-of had an incorrect idea of what this entails.” They all have a talk later that night (and over the next few weeks tbh) and decide that they do want to give this a shot, with actual communication.

The basic structure is that Clive dates both women - Dale and Michelle will sometimes date guys but so far there’s nothing serious (Michelle is 100% bi so there are also girls there too) and you cannot stop me from believing that Michelle and Dale have spoken about it the next day and will inevitably tease Clive with the knowledge that they’ve kissed the same people.

“Oh I was with this guy Ken last night -” “Wait, Ken D’Ouville? I made out with him last week.” Clive, hearing them compare the guys’ kissing skills to his own: “I am begging you to stop.”

Dale and Clive are into laser tag and paintball. They’re wayyyy too competitive and whenever they verse off against other people they’re making elaborate strategies, cartwheeling off of objects, making guerilla attacks to win, etc. They show no mercy (they made Ravi cry once. Whoops.). These losers also have a victory dance that everyone else finds extremely embarrassing and Clive personally thinks has maybe a little bit too much hip thrusting for his taste but he still does.

They don’t really do date nights as a trio since they’re not all together but they do have lunch together once a month. It’s always set on the first Saturday and they have to make it, whether it’s in the break room because they’re all working a case or at home at 11:50 pm  or at a restaurant because they actually were able to have a real lunch and nothing got in the eway. No matter what, they always have it, and they never, ever  miss those days. 

Michelle and Clive love D&D, and they’ve also gotten really into LARPing. They play with Ravi and the vampire guy a lot, and have even roped Dale in for some games as well. Dale doesn’t really get it, but if it makes Michelle and Clive happy to fake sword fight around her as she throws pretend laser blasters, then she’s damn sure that she’s gonna do that for the next 3 hours.
