Michele Morrow is running for schools superintendent in North Carolina, but her social media history is disturbing.
“I prefer a Pay Per View of him in front of the firing squad,” she allegedly wrote about the death of Obama, according to a post unearthed by CNN’s KFILE. “I do not want to waste another dime on supporting his life. We could make some money back from televising his death.”

Yesterday, after dropping Gus off at school and meeting a wildlife removal guy at our house (because we have some kind of animal getting into our house some nights), I drove to Oklahoma City for the Society of Marketing Professional Services Southern Regional Conference, of which I've been serving as co-chair for the last two years. A long two years. It was supposed to be one year, but then the pandemic pushed it back.
The experience has been a little like putting Summit on -- and we're in the same hotel where we had Summit in 2017 -- except that our planning committee comes from a bunch of different firms in a bunch of different locations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Because we don't work together, it's taken us a bit to discover what each other's strengths are, etc.
However the conference turns out, I'm so glad it's finally here so I can get it off my plate.

Dear Gus & Magnus,
I did a site visit for SMPS SRC 2022 this afternoon, then met with our keynote speaker, Amy Downs, who lost 18 of her 33 coworkers in the Oklahoma City bombing. Now she's CEO of that company. Lots of energy and fun to talk to.
After, my conference co-chair, Shonnah, and a few other SMPS folks when to a restaurant for a tasting, meaning I got to eat all the foods and that is my favorite thing. Co-chairing this conference has lasted longer than I've wanted it to and I'm ready to be done, but today was a good day to be co-chair.
