I’m reviewing in a review center too!! Any tips on how to stay on track? I think we have the same rc. :)
Hi! Are you from Review Innovations too? :)
Well, I'm not actually the right person to ask for advice about this but I'll try hehe. Personally, I don't really work well with being too organized. I'm really not fond of routines so I change it quite a bit each time. But mostly these are the constant ones:
Wake up early. Even though you don't have review classes on that day. In my experience, I became more productive when I start the day at 8:00AM.
Make a list. I make a list of topics/sets that were already discussed so that I'll know if I already went through that certain topic. I don't have a specific subject to study for each day really. Some days, I feel like working on Steel and Concrete Design, some days I feel more confident solving Hydraulics and Geotech problems and so on. Just make sure to distribute your time properly so that you wouldn't skip too many topics on that certain subject.
Block distractions. I have a really short attention span so I deleted my social media accounts — except for tumblr because, #studyblr motivates me honestly. I don't have a messenger and twitter on my phone so it keeps me away from being distracted for too long.
Don't push yourself too hard. I learned that studying for the whole day straight will mess with your mind and mood. I don't push myself to study on a really bad day, I allow myself to simply just relax and reorganize my thoughts. I don't allow the pressure of the upcoming Boards to get to me. Work at your own phase. But don't do it in the manner that you know you'll regret in the end because you didn't prepare enough for the boards. It's more fun to relax and have a legit vacation when you got your license.
Breaks are necessary. I take random 15-minute breaks each time I got stuck solving problems. My breaks are strictly 15 minutes only. You have to discipline yourself in order to achieve goals, big or small.
So, that is basically it for me. Thank you, Anon! I wish us good luck on the upcoming Licensure Exam this November. See you soon, Engineer!
