how are you doing both a computer science phd AND literature phd??

My PhD is actually combining the two! I'm using computational methods (word embeddings, text analysis, LLMs, etc.) on literature to track semantic and conceptual change, which means I get the best of both worlds! (though it would be cool to be doing two PhDs at the same time 👀)

Life update since my (almost) 2 year disappearance

💠 Finished A-levels

💠 Passed A-levels

💠 Started gap year and internship

💠 Applied for degree apprenticeships

💠 Got a couple offers

💠 Finished gap year and internship

💠 Started my degree apprenticeship

💠 Crammed for first round of exams

💠 just about passed said exams

I honestly thought this account would have ended with my A-levels. Barely passing my first round of exams I helped me remember how useful this account was with keeping me accountable. So I’m back. Got exams at the end of June and I want to pass comfortably without cramming.
