Mickey smacking around Arthur is also very in character. Him being a silent protector is an interesting choice when in the book it felt like it was every adoptee for themselves.

Okay, so we’re changing the order of adoption.. I prefer the original set up. Especially how Rachel adopted Mary first and had her for years. That setup was brilliant.
