third time seeing brand new last night, also my first time in the wasteland known as chicago!

My mom just texted me about my Instagram and asked me to explain "what's going on" and I am

Because we're graduating, my teacher had us describe a classmate's plans for the future. When it got to the guy who had to say mine, he defaulted to he/him pronouns for me, which has never happened from someone who semi-knows me. It was...interesting. Not bad, but weird

Y'know, creating an environment of hostility towards any sort of questioning or uncertainty regarding identity does nothing to help the community and literally only hurts people. There is nothing to be gained from completely shutting down any experimentation, changing (labels, names, pronouns, etc), or fluidity. Nothing to be gained from mocking someone who's only trying to put their complicated feelings about gender/sexuality into words. Nothing to be gained by closing out people who are "too confusing/just confused" or ignoring people because they don't fit into nice little boxes exactly as you think they should.

Questioning is fine. Uncertainty is fine. Fluidity is fine. None of those things hurt anyone.

Nothing is accomplished by demonizing those things. Nothing is accomplished by making questioning folks scared of themselves.
