Epic Mickey Tidbits that I’m reading right now
The Thinner ocean you see in Mickeyjunk Mountain and Ventureland was originally going to be all over Wasteland. The Thinner disaster had completely flooded the place. It was also very prominent in a lot of fan art. Personally, I headcanon that everywhere you can’t see it is above sea-level a a direct result of The Thinner disaster eroding the toon parts of the ground.
The Jug was going to be about half the size of Mickeyjunk Mountain, and regularly have thinner being pumped into it to keep the Blot from regaining power and breaking out
One early idea had Wasteland located in a dumpster. Other ideas included a Dante’s-Inferno-like area, and a cave-like world.
We still have almost no information on what the Beanstalk Factory was going to be like, despite it being in the intro of the game and all the maps of Wasteland.
Neverland was going to be a separate area from Ventureland, but connected
Holy crap, I want a whole expanded remake of the game at this point
Here’s an article from the Epic Mickey Wiki that lists more.
interestingly enough after obtaining Gilda’s axe to open the room(under the orange carpet in front of Oswald’s lair) there’s replicas of wasteland’s main parts. And then there’s a huge mickey wizard statue that if you thin out, it will cause the room to flood along with the replicas. It’s interesting to see how the statue was holding a bottle to which causes the room to flood! I thought it for shadows the thinner accident

I ended up not doing this because I wanted to return Gilda’s pickaxe
