I was thinking about that post you made earlier about Sensory Integration Disorder and living in NYC. I don't know how much you read comics, but you would really dig the Waid/Samnee runs of Daredevil. After living in NYC for three years, I can tell you that the comics absolutely nail the city atmosphere, drawing attention to exactly the sorts of sounds you talked about. If you're having Daredevil withdrawals the 2013 run is worth a read. Also I love your new icon!
I just started started reading Waid’s run, right when the show came out! I think I read 3 issues before I started watching DD. And now that I finished it, I’ll be going back to reading it. The one thing that really got me liking Matt was when Foggy said “How does the sensory overload of Manhattan not drive you crazy?” Thats awesome, though! I can’t wait to read more of it
Thanks!

Why not all of the above?
that’s true. i am also super turned on by good fight choreography and this is some of the best i’ve ever seen. if you look in my liveblog tag i describe his style as: bouncing myself off of walls until i hit someone” and i stand by that statement. also, if someone’s shooting at you, flip around a little, that always seems to do the trick
Ugh I'm so glad you're enjoying Daredevil. Basically I've spent the past week reading far too many of the comics and? the show got EVERYTHING right? I just finished marathoning it and I'm really thinking of watching it all again from the beginning. My favorite part has to be Matt and Foggy's relationship. I wish they had more time together onscreen, but we can't always have everything we want.
yeah I’m on episode 8 and loving it so far. i don’t read comics, so i can’t say how well it matches up with the canon but i dig the direction they’re going in
there’s something really gritty and organic about the whole thing, from the way it’s shot to the fight sequences. and of course charlie cox is fab as matt murdock who i am in love with. also his face is nice to look at. and his abs and his butt but i am watching the show for the plot
lol
AHHHHHHH mickmulberry LOOK WHAT I PICKED UP TODAY
(MORE PICS AND YELLING UNDER CUT)

Gosh what episode are you on? Can you, like, post about it a lot?
I am early in season two at the moment (it has not taken me all that long to get to this point; my brain is saturated and I feel that Sam and Dean possess my every waking thought). And I am certainly capable of posting about it a lot! I have mostly been sending my liveblogs privately to the friend who started me on this dark path to hell, but they can totally be publicised from here on out if you wish!
mickmulberry replied to your post: Much like Sleepy Hollow, I unashamedly...
Is Turn as silly as Sleepy Hollow? Either way, I can’t wait to watch it.
No, Turn is actually a pretty serious show. I really love it though. It's so good!
