micmazircastiel Deanna smiles softly as her eyes fall over the postcard Sammy had sent from Stanford. He had gotten back in, and was so much closer to becoming a lawyer. The postcard was addressed to her, and to Castiel whom was residing with the retired Hunter. Her heart swelled with pride as she imagined Sammy taking all his classes and coming closer and close to fulfilling what he had always wanted to do. It was what he deserved, with everything she had put him through. A part of her wishes she had never taken him away from Stanford in the first place. So much heartache could have been avoided.
Setting the postcard down Deanna takes a bite of the toast in front of her, her mouth over full as she chews. Slowly nausea creeps up her throat and she takes off in a sprint down the hall and to the bathroom. Collapsing over the toilet she begins to vomit, heaving as she does so. Her eyes water, and her hands struggle to hold her hair back. The puke leaves her system swiftly, and she sits back on the floor, wiping her mouth with the side of her hand.
It's a mumble and it echoes across the bathroom. Deanna had taken a pregnancy test a couple days ago, and she was a bit shocked to discover it was positive. She was scared, and she was overjoyed. She had yet to tell Cas, and she didn't exactly know completely how. Deanna hauls herself to her feet, crossing to the sink and turning on the red tap. She splashes water over her face, and her neck. Next, she wets her toothbrush and begins aggressively brushing her teeth. It leaves her mouth minty. She exits the bathroom, a hand subconsciously on her stomach. Salt was trailed along each and every window sill and door. Sure she had managed to escape that life, but that didn't mean she was going to leave herself unprotected. The demons knife, and an angel blade were stored underneath of her bed, and baby was in the garage with everything still in the trunk. Her head snaps around as she heard the back door to the house open.
