Welp, I think things are a bit different here. And since I don't really follow animated canons it shall be a firm part of my HC that Phobos dabbled in sort of 'magic' which most of Escanor family did not / or were prohibited to use ( otherwise someone would create something like that B4 / or he's way too crafty in arts of magic than his predecessors —- which due to his powers is not excluded ). Comics does not show ( or I can't find ) any implication of other royals wearing the symbol, nor even their mother and father, except those loyal to Phobos, which leaves me under the impression that he is the original creator of the seal and its overall design.
