It’s finally happening! I’m finally putting Bone & Ink Press’ new wave anthology together, and I’m just as excited about it as I was when I first came up with the idea. Stay tuned.

I did it, y'all, I fucking did it. I founded Bone & Ink Press in January 2017, and published a few titles under the imprint, but now it’s really real. The website is up and running, and I’ve opened up manuscript submissions. I’ve also opened up submissions on the blog, which will be run like an ezine; every month there will be a new theme and work fitting into that theme will be published on a rolling basis. (I’ll post this month’s call for submissions in a separate post.) I’ve got a lot of big plans for the press, so stay tuned. In the meantime, send me your juiciest, weirdest words and art.
Small Press vs Self-Pub: A reflection
Small Press vs Self-Pub: A reflection

About/Submission Guidelines
I’m looking for your strangest prayers. I’m looking for your loudest shouts. I’m looking for words that make me jittery like five shots of espresso. I’m looking for sexy, and sad. I’m looking for mystical and visionary; I want prose that’s like an incantation and poetry that’s like a magic spell. I want musical, lyrical. I want punk. You don’t have to identify as punk in any way, nor does your writing have to have anything to do with punk—what I mean is, I’m looking for writing that has that raw, wild energy. I want obituaries to your old selves. I want the autobiography of your favorite dress. I want the stuff that’s so weird and experimental some people would call it inaccessible. I want the stuff that’s so plain-spoken and accessible some people would say it’s not literature. I want the stuff that does both at the same time—give me the weirdly accessible and the accessibly weird. I want your poetic manifestos. I want the stories that are tattooed on your marrowbones. I want your blood n’ guts and everything you’ve got.
