Imaging suddenly being shrunk down, grabbed, and shoved into someone’s boxers/panties for “safe keeping”. I write in secrecy. There is a tap tap tapping upon my window at 3:17 of the morning. Dawn is several hours away and I watch tirelessly for the warm glow of the heavens. It has yet to come and drive off the tap tap tapping upon my window.
There is a chill in my bones, as cold as a rag upon my feverish forehead. Winter’s grasp cannot compare when I hear wheezing hiding behind my mirror. It rocks back and forth on its hinged stand, threatening to fall over. I don’t want to know what is lurking behind it.
A hiss lurks at the bathroom sink. It is not on. I have no sink.
