Xbox Takes The Kinect To Another Level
Xbox Takes The Kinect
To Another Level
A huge problem that has been going on for sometime now with the Kinect, is the factor of multiplayer games. This is not so much because of the games that consumers are playing, but the sensor itself. At points during voice command actions, if two people speak at the same time, there is no telling what the console will do in response. Well as of now I am pleased to announce that the Xbox One Kinect will be equipped with the capabilities to understand two voices at once. Unfortunately at this point there is no telling whether or not this functionality for the Kinect sensor is applied to video games or if this applied to make functionality more fluent in its actions. At the Eurogamer convention in London, Microsoft’s Phil Harrison made statements telling the crowd a few details about the actual capabilities of the Kinect sensor.
Phil states that the new Kinect sensor will have a built in microphone array that will be capable of picking up every sound in the room. But this is not all, it will be able to target where the sound is coming from (conspirators are having a conniption right now). This aspect would be an amazing addition to the console world if Microsoft integrates this into game production software. Because of this announcement, Sony has decided to retaliate by announcing a bundle of their own.
At the same price as the $500 dollar Xbox One, Sony is releasing a bundle pack that will include a PS$, a copy of Killzone: Shadowfall, the PS4 camera, and two DualShock 4 remotes. The camera that comes with this bundle pack has been announced to be up to par with the Xbox One Kinect. This means that the Ps4 camera will come with ever function that the Xbox One Kinect has, even the microphone array. Keep your eyes pealed because I have a feeling that before the release of these “Titan” consoles, there will be a large number of other unexpected announcements.
