Would like to shout out my sister @omega.sirius.moon for not only being an amazing artist, lyricist, musician and mother. Picking seeds to make some #microplants for the #HattieCarthanCommunityGarden. People Listen. There is organic affordable food in your hood and the only people I see buying it are the #gentrifiers! Know your history! Know your hood!!! BEDSTUY has a legacy. Look up Hattie Carthan. Instead of going to the #Bodega spending $10 on some damn Sour Powers and Doritos bring your 10 bucks to the Market Place and go home with 3, 4 days worth of veggies. We Out here screaming #foodjustice and the hood doesn’t hear it. Why? This Summer buy local! We got herbs too. Like Anise, Thyme, Basil and Sage. Yesterday we planted at least 5 different varieties of cucumbers and radishes, chard, arugala, spinach and Sunflowers (for spouts)….I’m gonna post more about the Garden as the season approaches.
