Calendar Wars

Spent a frustrating afternoon attempting to sync up Gwen's and my calendars. She uses iCloud and I use Google. For months everything worked fine. Then she decided she wanted to use the calendar on her PC laptop. I tried the Calendar Metro App; no luck. I could view the iCloud and Google calendars but not update them from the PC. Then I tried Outlook; same result except Outlook made me install the iCloud app on the PC before I could view the iCloud calendar. Also tried multiple other combinations but the results did not improve. Finally success by accessing iCloud via the browser and giving up on Google calendar - I transferred from Google to my iCloud account. I could get any two of the combinations to work but not all three. The three ecosystems do not have any incentive to interface with each other. However, Microsoft is the worst by far

Between a longwinded #chkdsk & now recovering orphaned files I continue to hold my breath in awe at the complex simplicity of possibly having drowned my laptop in a regurgitated data dump ad infinitum. Feel the fear and do it anyway ;p #technology #microsoftsucks #windows10sucks
