Two Minute Scrambled Eggs
Here are some photos of the cup eggs I made. The original recipe (and more appetizing pictures) can be found right here!
Salt and pepper for flavor
Chopped mushrooms, tomatoes, and jalapenos
Spray the mug with cooking oil so the eggs don't stick.
Crack two eggs into the cup and add two tablespoons of milk.
Mix the eggs and milk together.
Microwave the concoction for 45 seconds on high power.
Remove the cup from the microwave and stir until it's well-mixed again. At this point, I also stirred in pieces of chopped up mushrooms, tomatoes, and jalapenos, which definitely helped improve the taste.
Microwave for another 45 seconds.
Remove, add cheese, salt, and pepper to taste.
Add salt and pepper before microwaving for more spread out flavor.
Add more vegetables! Again, flavor was somewhat lacking.
Two minute eggs are true to their name: they actually only take two minutes to make! That said, be prepared to be slightly let down due to their permeable rubbery taste. They definitely don't taste as good as scrambled eggs made on the stove.
The eggs are also very easy to clean up, since all you really need to wash afterwards is a cup and a fork.
They're quick and easy to prepare and to clean up, which is particularly useful when you don't have much time to grab breakfast.
...but they taste like rubber and disappointment.
You could make the greatest microwave cup eggs in the world, and they would still taste worse than eggs that were made on the stove.
