I think I've finally found somewhere we can afford to live.
The apartment only has one bedroom, but the front room is sizable and the boys might actually be able to live comfortably for once. Now I just need to tell them...

Tensions // Alice + Regina
Alice sat on a bench at the edge of the park, resting her chin on her hand. She had insisted that the boys try to interact with more kids around their ages, preferably ones that didn't know where their parents kept the matches or small stretchy bands, and was now watching them tumble around in a messy game of football with some other children who came around to play.
They're growing up. Alice could tell already. Being out of Neverland, in a land with no magic and no curse to freeze them in time anymore, was starting to take effect on her boys. When Nibs had come to her just that morning and asked if she knew where his socks were, his voice broke in several places and she'd felt a wave of melancholy. With Grace still missing and Jefferson gone in his own horrible way, the Lost Boys were really the only thing that kept Alice going every day.
She was so lost in thought that she didn't see anyone approaching her until they were right there, literally casting a shadow over her nice day at the park.
The boys decided they wanted to try and sleep in the trees tonight.
They're a little different from the ones in Neverland, so I bought them extra rope and some lengths of that springy rope with the hooks on the end. I haven't heard a sound in a little while, so I think they're all finally asleep.
Don't tell the boys, but I'm thinking of buying us an apartment.
We've been living in the woods for years, and now that we're back to civilization (albeit a very different kind of civilization from the one we used to know) and I'm making some sort of money from being a grocery clerk, I really believe it's time we had an actual roof over our heads. I've been told apartments are like very small houses all stacked together, but one with even just three rooms would be so much better than the camp in the woods...wouldn't it?
