This is just my opinion. Can I share it without being attacked and blocked? I hope so! I know a lot of people really loved Be My Favorite but it just was extremely mid at the most to me. Sweet romance without sexiness doesn't work for my brain. Being quoiromantic doesn't help.
· I feel like they got right up to the edge of so many issues and toed right at them and... Didn't really address them. Which just falls flat to me.
· I still just don't like Kawi. I don't know if it's a me issue, a Krist issue, a writing issue, or what. I know Pisaeng thinks he's cute but like, he never extrapolates on that. He's not particularly fae or femme, so it's not that kind of cute. I don't know folks.
· The Pisaeng / Kawi dynamic is still a mystery to me. Yes I'm quoiromantic so many things of this nature are, but this is especially opaque. They just seem to me like really good friends. There was never a spark that was illustrated for either of them. Pisaeng just started in and Kawi responded.
· For me personally their skinship and their one bed scene was kinda awkward. Again, to me. I mean, that's nothing new in this industry. There's plenty of kisses and bed scenes that I feel like should just be skipped. I also personally object to that scene being called an NC scene but whatever floats everyone's boat I guess.
· I think Pear's arc is way better than anyone else's. She's the only one that I genuinely think it's a fully formed character / human. I don't know why I feel like everyone else is just a trope / shell.
I don't know youse guise. It just didn't work for me the way it did for a lot of you. I'm glad that this really hit home for lots of you and you have a new fave. I suspect that Only Friends and possibly Last Twilight will work on that capacity for me.
Jittirain just generally doesn't work for me, Vice Versa only working because the cast was phenomenal.
