‘A stranger in the sands’ @midephthys
There were only two things Dan knew of at this current moment, One, there was no chance that his pursuers would know he was around here for now. Two, He had no clue where ‘here’ was.
It all just seemed to be more of the same as he scanned his surroundings, just constant beige all around him with no end in sight. Sure he could just go straight back the way he came from, but he needed to be able to shake up where he was spotted by anyone keeping an eye out for him.
That and if he fled from this unknown region, it would be a blemish on his own claim of ‘I can survive anywhere!’ He would not have that even if it was only he who knew it...not like that was anyone capable of knowing that.
This heat was quite mild in comparison to temperatures he knew, but it was by no means easy to wander about so long having no clue where you were going and needing to drink more and more, at this point the path he had walked literally presented a nearly perfect line of water bottles and soda cans littered among-st the desert in his need to quench the ever growing thirst.
“That’s it....no more!” He whined, the onyx hedgehog collapsing down on the smooth, hot sand, refusing to get up until he took some time to rest. “It should be safe out here...kinda comfortable actually with this heat...”
It was easy to say that when he had no knowledge on what this place could hold.....
