The crowds were unusually thin for an evening time period; a lot of people liked to flock around the plaza to shop or eat, really at any time. But Ace would've noticed the strange group regardless. They were far more...colorful than the usual faceless, after all, and they had some presence to them. They weren't a threat to him, necessarily, but it was best to at least offer guidance to such a lost-looking group (his guidance probably wasn't the best, but they could decide to take that risk).
