I don’t think enough people appreciate the gravity of this moment. Midvalley has been trying to escape the entire night, and this might be his very last chance to. He’s injured from his fight from Wolfwood too, so if there was any time to leave, it would be now… And yet, he still forfeited his chance to run, just so he could fulfill his promise to Hoppered. Even Hoppered wasn’t expecting him to come back finish the job, and yet, here he is… And the cruel irony is, this one selfless act costs him his life. If he’d just ran away, maybe he’d still be alive…
