Hi has anyone else thought of a "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" kakairu AU yet? Bc, oh boy, I have. It's so kakairu coded to me??? Iruka as Kobayashi slaving away his life away in his corporate job while trying to get his teaching credentials, Kakashi as Tohru being a devoted maid to Iruka while learning modern human culture, and finally Naruto as Kanna who used to cause pranks to get attention but now finally has it through the form of his dads
Tbh it could go both ways, Kakashi as Kobayashi and Iruka as Tohru since it would fit their personalities more. Though Iruka is much more rational than Kakashi. Kks also has no idea how to be a normal human being, weird ass jonin...
I've somewhat thought about what other characters would be apart of the AU. I want to keep major parts of the show the same as a baseline, ex. Tohru pretending to be dead in the other world to live a peaceful life in the modern world and only informing her two most trusted allies. With that in mind I have Might Gai in place of Lucoa and uh for Fafnir... well uh hm. I don't have anyone in mind right now. An easy answer would be Asuma, Tenzo, or even Obito but I have plans for those guys. Maybe a female character since Gai is taking Lucoa's place.
Speaking of those guys: Asuma is taking Takiya's place not only as Iruka's coworker but his older brother too(we love the Sarutobis adopting Iruka hc in this household). I really want Tenzo as Elma specifically because of the episode where Elma was first introduced. Tohru becoming jealous seeing Kobayashi spending time and praising Elma. I can imagine the same with Kakashi, Iruka, and Tenzo in mind. It could go even further where Tenzo outright flirts with Iruka which gets a rise out of Kakashi. For Obito well, it may change since I just started season two recently but I feel set on Ilulu. The story from the anime and AU would drastically differ at that point so it can fit in some nart storylines. Kakashi may or may not be the only dragon pretending to be dead.
In terms of the human companion characters, besides Asuma, the only other thought I had was Sasuke as Saikawa, but he would still be his snarky emo self while maintaining that rivalry/bff thing going on with Naruto. (this would make Itachi as Georgie in this case lmao)
