waltzing with a demon prince at hell's eternal midnight ball | waltz loop 6hrs
the sweep of your skirts. the strong arm around your waist. the dark eyes of your companion.
you do not know for how long you have been dancing, and yet you are not tired. trapped forever in this moment of delicious anticipation as your heart soars in time with the music, the two of you gliding across the floor in a perfect waltz. your mind catches on thoughts of what comes next. the long slide of satin as your gloves are pulled free. calloused fingers on your bare flesh. but you have been dancing forever. will that future never come to pass?
"is it not," his lips brush against the shell of your ear, "an exquisite torture?"

“You wanna get outta here?”
You jumped in surprise at the sound of Kristoff’s voice. No one seemed to notice, however, as you glared at him. He chuckled at your reaction, not expecting you to be so surprised by his presence.
“Don’t do that, Kristoff!” you exclaimed, crossing your arms over your chest after tapping his shoulder.
“Hey!” he grinned, rubbing the area where you had nudged him. “I didn’t mean to!”
“Yeah, right,” you replied, sarcasm lacing your tone. “What do you want?”
“I asked if you wanted to leave?” he repeated his question. “I’m bored. You look bored. I think we could find something way more fun to do than be at this stuffy ball! Besides, Elsa and Anna won’t even know we’re gone—!”
“I think you mean ‘Anna won’t even know we’re gone,’” you interrupted. “Elsa will definitely notice.”
“And she’ll understand!”
You didn’t respond to Kristoff’s complaints. While the ball, which had been arranged by your two best friends, was painfully boring, you didn’t want to be disrespectful by leaving so soon.
“Aren’t they doing a whole ‘we saved the kingdom’ ceremony like they do at every ball?” you asked. “They’ll wonder where we ran off to!”
“Oh, please,” scoffed Kristoff, “like you said, they do that at every ball. I’m sure they’ll be fine without us for one night.”
“I don’t know—”
“Go have fun, (YOUR NAME),” said Anna, suddenly approaching with a smile on her face.
“We know a winter ball isn’t really your favorite way to be spending your time,” said Elsa. “Surprisingly, Kristoff is right for once—”
“Hey!”
“We’ll be fine!” grinned Anna. “We promise!”
With the blessing of your two friends, you turned to look at Kristoff, who was staring at you in anticipation, and said, “Fine.”
“Yes!” he exclaimed. “Thank you, ladies! The two of us will see you tomorrow!”
Kristoff quickly grasped your hand in his own, tugging you along in the direction of the palace gate. Sven and Olaf weren’t too far behind since the two didn’t want to miss out on anything.
“Do you think he’ll tell them tonight?!” asked Anna, leaping with excitement. “Oh, I hope he does! They’ll be so cute together!”
Elsa smiled, “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. This is Kristoff we’re talking about, after all.”
But Anna is right, thought Elsa. Kristoff and (YOUR NAME) would be a great match for one another.
