I really like how Riki's VA sounds so raw in this recording, i kinda imagining Riki itself singing with his gang. I can feel he's grinning while singing the chorus, isn't he? He sounds soooo alive. Also, I cut right to the epic guitar part, I hope anyone who listening to this status enjoy it ❤️

Riki during his Guardian days spotted a rare butterfly and wondered how such a colorful tiny being could represent freedom so well. Ever since he was fascinated by the idea of growing wings for himself.
I'm literally speechless, impressed. You are iconic, celestial.. !! You should be part of the Star Wars team; i would choose you to do the official posters and artwork.

Notes: Welp, a lot of people liked Black Magic over on Ao3 so I figured I'd continue it. Black Magic itself is over, but Midnight Illusion is its sequel! So I hope you guys enjoy!
**Midnight Illusion is the Sequel to Black Magic (It's linked above! Just in case you missed it.) It directly picks up from where Black Magic left off, but I felt like with different arcs come a different story sooooo yeah! I'm also lowkey thinking of involving different groups with it too so I figure why not? I'll ease into it with Dream and see where it goes from there.
Disclaimer: Please remember that this is an AU and a work of fiction, obviously the idols mentioned/written about in this story would never partake in or condone these actions. I would never wish any of these actions to occur to the Idol(s) mentioned in the writings of these stories, nor do I wish any harm on them.
Jaehyun followed you into the back room. With the flick of your hands, the curtains that surrounded the cylindrical building opened and let in enough sunlight to illuminate its entirety. From where you stood, all that you could see were blue skies and white clouds. Your workroom was an organizer's heaven. Everything was in its proper place and everything had a home in their cabinets or drawers. In the center of it all was the large circular work desk. Its shape was optimized for magical circles of all kinds, the light ones and the chalked ones alike, and the wood was made of Blackthorn to hold and project magical properties. The notches in the middle and at its sides were telling enough of all of its work throughout the years. Cast against the wall was a map of the cosmos, enchanted to move to match the planet's orbit and always showing you which constellations resided in their respective houses, such was important for certain spells, of course. And now, surrounded by the mystic arts, was who was now a common human.
Off against the wall were your certifications. Three of which stood out with their ruby trims, beneath them were two of gold, and beneath those three of silver. Respectively, Countermeasure and Rapid Casting, Ritual Casting, and Transmutation; Combustion Magic and Apparation and Teleportation; Amalgamy, Alchemy Work, and Enchantment. All of which were certifications you'd received during or shortly after your time at Cadenza. Naturally, your Witches' License and Certification that you'd been awarded at graduation was hung above those and framed in the same enchanted wood and glass you'd received with it.
"Wow, I knew you to be quite the decorated scholar, but even this is impressive. Dual studies?"
"Triple. I took classes at Badinerie for those silver certifications, and classes at Galliard for the gold," you explained. "Naturally, the ruby levels were from Cadenza."
"As I said before, impressive."
"You really are human now, aren't you?" You asked Jaehyun. Rosy cheeks and bright eyes, an on-looker would've never guessed he'd already lived for centuries. You'd be lying if you said that you didn't want to question him completely. You were surprised that he was still in one piece, that his age didn't just catch up to him when he became human, but who were you to challenge the logic behind magic? You were certain if you checked his wrist not only would he have a pulse but also a much higher body temperature. He was alive. And you did that for him. In hindsight, that debt alone could hardly be paid with gold.
"I am, but why do you say that?" You point to the doorway you just walked through. The top of the doorframe had a line of protective runes on it.
"In order, a charm to block werewolves, the Grimm, vampires, and the malintent," you said, grabbing the fallen books from the floor and placing them back on their shelves. It seems that the tremors from the ritual had thrown some things into disarray.
Jaehyun, meanwhile, placed the chest on top of your work desk. You stepped forward as he unlocked it. True to his words, inside lay the equivalent of 9,000 gold pieces. They shone under the sunlight and a soft exhale left your lips.
"Wow..."
"Right, what will you do with your newfound wealth first, dear witch?"
"Probably fix my poor basement..." you muttered, closing the chest and waving your hand. The chest disappeared somewhere safe. "I'm glad to be of service, Mr. Favoritine."
"Oh, please, Jaehyun's fine," he says. He picks up the tube of lipstick on the workdesk. "Lipstick?"
"Works great for spells involving passion, the romantic and the obsessive kind," you shrugged. "Chalk for your everyday spells, marker for temporary ones, and ash for more permanent ones," you explained each as you pointed to them, placing them back in their designated areas. "You're much more friendly now, almost as if you became an entirely new person," you crossed your arms over your chest and Jaehyun laughs.
"It's like a weight's been lifted from my shoulders. You have no idea the pains of living for so long, it truly drains you," he trails off and shakes his head. "But back to you, how are you going to announce your achievement? Reversing an irreversible curse, you'll be a heralded witch."
"Good question, Jaehyun," you hummed. "I'm not going to."
"... I'm sorry?"
"I like how I work now. It would be troublesome to have a line of people outside my door, that and I may or may not be a convict now so I'd rather stay in the shadows longer," you explained.
"I... I see, that's understandable." You look down at your forearm, Michael's blessing was gone. You didn't know the archangels could reverse their blessing, made sense that they could now that you thought about it though. That's alright, you never liked patron work anyway.
"You all woke up before I did. Whatever became of Yangyang?" You ask.
"Him? He's great. Mark and Haechan have been showing him the ropes. He's back to work at your friend's office."
"A full-fledged vampire and still an unpaid intern," you sighed. "Kun is truly an evil witch," you rolled your eyes. "If I were that boy I'd threaten to turn Kun every chance I got..." you added.
"I certainly hope he doesn't turn anyone, actually," Jaehyun hums. "Before I forget," Jaehyun snapped his fingers, he opens his satchel, pulling a familiar tome from it. "I believe you could make more use of this than we ever could," he hands it to you. The Cigam tome was still heavy in your hands. You hadn't had the opportunity to peruse its entirety yet, and now you had it in your possession.
"Thank you, truly, this is more than enough," you placed the book on the table. Jaehyun still looked at you with some expectancy and with a noticeable determination in his eyes. "You know you can't charm anymore, right?" You reminded him.
"I'm much aware," he continues. "Although, I'll still have you know that I'm an accomplished sorcerer."
"What school?"
"Cadenza, same as you, just... much longer ago," he shrugs.
"Sorcery... you have no magic? At all? I find that surprising," you muttered.
Sorcery vs. Witchcraft - A Quick Guide for Incoming Students
A Paper authored by Cadenza's Headmaster Shim Changmin
Hello, students, if you're reading this then you have been accepted into the prestigious school of Cadenza, one of the seven founding magic schools and the most renowned in the cultivation of young talents. Surely, by now, you have read the student's handbook and are now wondering which of the two curriculums you must fall under: Sorcery or Witchcraft?
Firstly, let me define both. Sorcery is the study and practice of magic from non-magical individuals, meaning people who were not born with innate magical abilities. Witchcraft is the study and practice of magic from magical individuals, meaning people who have been born with innate magical abilities.
Now, whether or not you were born with the ability to naturally use magic is of no advantage or lack thereof. It just means that the curriculums you enter will be quite different. For those in the Sorcery programs, your studies will be focused on channeling the energy and mana around you to your advantage and to make it your own. For those in the Witchcraft programs, your studies will be centered on the ability to focus your own mana to work in constructive or destructive interference to the mana around you.
With that said, take a moment now. Light a candle and watch the flames flicker. Now focus. Drain your senses and stare into the light. Study how it moves, study how it reacts. Then, with your head filled with intention, say the chant 'Exstingue.' What happens? Does the light go out? If yes, then you've just completed the simplest form of charm and you should enroll in the Witchcraft program. If not, no worries, you will learn how to do this, then you must enroll in the Sorcery program.
Regardless of this outcome, every student will be presented a basic aptitude test to determine which curriculum and which level is most appropriate for you. No need to study, in fact we suggest that you don't. We would like to see your baseline abilities to keep checkpoints of how you grow as young practitioners! Enjoy the rest of your summer break before classes begin, and I look forward to meeting each and every bright new face this year. Best of luck!
"Usually normal humans can't survive vampyric turning," you added.
"I guess you could call me lucky then," he sighs, he shakes his head. "What about you?" He switches the subject
"I'm sorry?"
"You are arguably the most talented witch in Cadenza's recent history, to think someone as plain as you holds so much potential," he leans against your desk, but leans slightly forward to look at you. "And to walk directly into an Angel's Gate? That's remarkable, not just anyone can do it," he presses his lips together in a straight line.
Shit. Johnny must have told him.
"Do you know who the last person I saw walk into an Angel's Gate was?"
"Who?" You already knew the answer, but you wanted to indulge him. Jaehyun nods towards the tome.
"Lady Cecille a l'Espée Beauregard," he answers. "May whatever's left of her soul rest in peace," he places his hand on the cover. "Who are you? Really? Just a curious question."
Lady Cecille a l'Espée Beauregard is no small name in the world of magic. Pioneering what is now known as modern-day witchcraft and rapid spell casting, she is regarded as one of the most influential witches for good reason. But, and this is most notable, Lady Cecille was the founder of Cadenza academy alongside her brothers and their respective schools. Lord Arthur in Arietta, Benedict in Badinerie, Dimitri in Declamando, Ezra in Etude, Florence in Fugue, and finally Gwenevere in Galliard. Of their accomplishments, the one they were most lauded for was their ability to convene and host the archangels but, of them all, it was Cecille who was the most devout.
Your connection to the Beauregard family, although, is not one you're proud of, and not one you had any control over. It is something you deal with. Lady Cecille, in particular, is a much distant ancestor of yours. Too far to have any effects of the lineage, and too weak to affect your life now, but still there.
But Jaehyun didn't need to know that.
"Well, it's a long story," you huffed. "You've lived long enough, find it out yourself. Nothing that the public records can't hide," you shook your head. "I should really check in on Yangyang, though, he's holding all nine of your curses, it's only a matter of time before that backfires on him, I'll have to teach him and Kun some fail-safes," you muttered. "Not that I don't trust Mark or Haechan to walk him through it, but I'm more afraid of how his bloodlusts will manifest," you were nearly speaking to yourself now.
Haechan's Must-Knows for Being a Newly Turned Vampire
By: Haechan
So you've been turned into a vampire, hooray! No, not really. Being a vampire fucking sucks, believe it or not. I have no idea why you even agreed to do this shit. Or maybe I've just been alive for too long, who knows? Either way, here's a little book that Taeyong made me make for you (Yangyang) and whoever has the "pleasure" of dealing with you (Kun, maybe (Y/N), depends if (Y/N) ever returns to the land of the living). Either way, fuck it, dude, I'm not sure when, but soon you're going to go through bloodlust and that shit SUCKS so here's your survival guide for it.
First of all, I literally cannot figure out how to describe this other than the fact that it's basically like a period. It comes once a month, you get really fucking moody, and there's blood. Lots of it. It gets worse when you don't intake enough blood in the in-between periods so make sure you're drinking like, I dunno, like 15 liters a week? Just basic maintenance. Mark went "vegan" for a bit a literally lashed out at all of us during his bloodlust so Taeyong locked him in his room until he fixed his feeding schedule. So with that said, any less than what I recommend and your bloodlust will hit, and I promise you it won't be pretty. Knowing this, you could hypothetically skip a bloodlust if you're overstocked on blood so there's that too, but I wouldn't recommend it. Binging can be just as bad as undereating.
Either way, when your bloodlust does hit we have no idea how it'll work out since you've got, what, nine curses on you? Just, uh... how do I say this? Don't forget who you are. Bloodlust tends to really take over and sometimes you forget.
"The first ones are always the worst," Jaehyun grimaces. "The nine of us have agreed to help him out, mostly because his boss threatened us, but we would've done it anyway. There aren't many vampires any more," Jaehyun adds.
"Do you know of any more?"
"Only a few, and it's through a deep trust that I don't reveal their identities."
"I see, that is understandable," you continued to absently clean around the room. "You were the ones who transported the mirror back, correct? How did that go?"
"Don't be surprised when you find O.W.O. recruiters at your doorstep."
"Oh, stars above," you cursed. "They never left me alone before and they most certainly won't now."
"For what it counts, your friend said that she's willing to keep your methods a secret, in fact, she insisted on it. If word came out that it was possible to do the impossible, magic use would be off the charts."
"That's what I figured, I'm guessing they've put Yangyang under heavy supervision, huh?"
"I don't think I'd exactly call it 'heavy' but he does have an O.W.O. officer following him around."
"Oh, shit, who is it? I think I have a feeling of who it is, but I'm really hoping it's not..." you groaned. "Is it Dejun?"
"How'd you know?"
"That pretentious boot-licker will do anything to get a promotion, he hasn't changed since Cadenza and now he's going to be a thorn at my side," you rolled your eyes. "Okay, okay, I'll deal with him later. Tell me at least one of you guys wrote, like, I dunno, a log on what's been going on with Yangyang."
"Yeah, Doyoung did."
"Of course it was Doyoung," you muttered, remembering the extensive log he had on you. You took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Okay, looks like I have more work to do. How about you? How's charming this human going?" You asked, turning your back to him to arrange the counter at the back.
"Slow. I just started today and the other guys haven't had the opportunity yet," Jaehyun says.
"Oh? What was the hold up?"
"Yangyang freaking out about his fangs dropping, Taeil kickstarting his restaurant, and just getting accustomed to human life in general," Jaehyun answers. "Haechan's a little upset that he can't charm anyone anymore, but he'll get over it."
"Just do what kids these days are doing, you know, those one-day temporary curses," you say.
"Oh, god, and go through that trauma again? No thank you." Jaehyun lurches forward to catch the book that knocked over the desk and, as he places it back, his chest presses against your back and he places one hand on your shoulder. "You know, if you need help, I'm more than willing to-"
"Stop it," you turned to him, clamping your hand over his mouth. He looks up at you with surprised eyes and, in one movement, you tilt his head up, spotting the hastily drawn magic circle under his chin. You smeared the lipstick and rolled your eyes. "A silver tongue spell? You really are shameless. First thing you did to me when we met and again right now," you released his face and stepped back. "What do you want, Mr. Favoritine? Choose your words carefully," your hand rested upon the Elder wood wand. Jaehyun's eyes diverted to the wand first before to you.
"No need to get defensive." He rose his hands up in surrender. "Just wanted to see if you were fully awake again," Jaehyun chuckles. "Looks like you're as alert as usual." He folds his arms and starts making his way to your door before pointing at the runes, the one that protected you against the Grimm specifically. "You should fix this," he taps on it. It was now you realized the gash that struck along it, effectively nulling out the effects of its protection.
"I'll see you out," you followed him. Jaehyun pulled his handkerchief off and wiped the rest of the lipstick off.
"Part of me was curious as to see how powerful lipstick actually is."
"You'd be surprised. I've done a few jobs that involved love."
"Isn't that immoral?"
"I'm a witch. I've helped bring people back from the dead before."
"Necromancy?"
"Yes, but I work with another person for that," you both reach the door now. You open it for him. "Well, thank you for delivering my pay. I wish you the best of luck with your days to come," you say to him. Jaehyun steps out.
"And to you, I wish you clarity of mind to make the right decision." You stared at him. What did he mean by that? He just sighs and shakes his head. "Goodbye, dear witch. And do not be a stranger, if you need me, I'm just a call away."
"Right, goodbye then," you closed the door.
How strange.
You went back to your workroom, continuing to clean things up, but you could've sworn you put those books back. You picked them up and started sliding them back on shelves again. Once the workroom looked somewhat presentable, you walked back to your main room and started cleaning there, you were just glad that no one came in and raided your house while you were gone, and you had those nine to thank for it. Based on the scattered DVDs, it looks like they were here for a while. As you fixed your DVD shelf, it was then you heard the sound of a book snapping shut behind you. You whipped your head back, hands in a defensive position, and you looked at the shadow that cast over your armchair. Their face was obscured by the dark, but with the small slivers of light from the window, you saw the book in his hands. The Grimoire, to be exact. One of the books you kept under lock and key. From what you could see, he was wearing a white shirt under a leather jacket and jeans. You couldn't see his eyes, but you did see what looked like an amused smirk.
"I'm closed."
"That's too bad, doll." His voice dripped with poison.
"If you want a consultation, I would suggest that you not break into a practitioner's home."
"A practitioner? Doll, I was there when your silly spells were penned." He stands up now, face still hidden in the shadows. "And you? You... oh, look at you. You look more delectable then I could've ever thought," his voice was light, airy, even. He was amused by this. But you were not. He approaches you until he was an arm's distance away. "I am so going to enjoy this... you." He reaches forward and you grab his wrist instead.
"Sanctus ignis," at the mutter of the hex, he recoils his arm back with a hiss.
"And a practitioner of holy magic? I really scored with you, doll." It was now you realized the thin veil of blue that seemed to surround him, reflecting the night sky itself. "I've been waiting for you, doll. Now, be good and hold still."
"Sorry, bud, I just got 9,000 gold bars and I'm not looking to host any demons today," you turned your wrist and a magic circle appeared on it. "So, are we going to have a civil conversation like adults or am I going to have to show you why I was top of my exorcism classes?" You closed your fist and, in an instant, a wand appears between it. You try not to use your wand as often as possible. It was mainly an inconvenience, really, it was much easier to use your hands, but when it comes to defensive and offensive spell casting you'd be a fool not to use it. That and you felt ridiculous waving it around, but what could be done? The demon's eyes glow gold and he straightens his posture.
"Feisty."
"Busy," you corrected him. "Fresh out of the Occultusphere?"
"Been out for a while, thanks to you. We're linked now, you and I, and I've been waiting so long for you to return. Now, as I was saying earlier, be good and submit."
Not your first demon, and most certainly not your last.
"Not today, I have an appointment scheduled. Catenae captionem," you flicked the wand up and chains sprung from the ground, transfiguring from the stone floors and surrounding the demon, who just narrowly escaped. In one swift movement, you were knocked off your feet by some unseeable force and you tumbled out of the way, quickly pushing yourself up before the demon got a chance to get to you. You spun the wand in your hand and held it up, the demon out of sight. The curtains around you drew closed, leaving you in the dark. You pointed the wand up now. "Lux ardens!" A bright light surrounded you and the demon hissed above you. You ducked and rolled out of the way for him to collapse at your previous spot. "Stars, I'm going to regret this... Ventus locus!" You waved your wand in a circle and a gust of wind followed, throwing your curtains back open and letting the daylight in, and also knocking over a majority of your furniture but that's something a quick charm can fix. You approached the keeled-over demon, who only groaned as you neared. You stopped next to him and crouched down.
"You're good," he grunts. "Last time I underestimate a witch..."
"Yeah, I am. Now, how do I send you back?" You tilted your head, trying to make out the tattoo on the demon's neck. Then, he reaches forward, grabbing your arm in a vice grip. "Don't-"
"Clausa votum," he mutters. Your arm burns under his grip and, the more you tried to pull away, the harder he held on and the harsher the burns between it. You, in turn, grabbed his wrist, trying to pry it off of you, but the damage had already been done. When he finally released you, you stood up, looking at the burning mark on your arm.
"Argh, great. Just great," you grumbled. You pulled the demon up by his jacket. "A soul bond? Are you trying to make this harder for the both of us?!" The demon, who was previously groggy, suddenly shook his head to get back to his senses, pulling your hand off of his jacket.
"Trying to make it harder? Don't make me laugh. I gave you two options and you chose neither, so I made myself a third instead."
"Demons, they're always a pain at my side," you sighed. You looked at the intricate burn mark. It was a Grimm design, of course. "Can't I negotiate a break? I'll even take a change in contract, if possible."
"It's not that easy, doll," the demon grins. "Sorry. That's a fate bind, and the more in danger one participant is-"
"The stronger it gets."
"Yup," the demon turned his own arm around, his pale skin now brandishing the exact same mark.
"Well, I just did the impossible so... fuck it, I'll do it again," you groaned.
"You did the impossible?"
"Unturned nine vampires in one go."
"Amateur."
"Fuck off," you grimaced. You looked at the mark again. Looks like you'd have a demon following you around for the time being. "So, can I negotiate or not?"
"What do I get in return? Your soul?"
"Won't know until we talk about it."
"Not your first demonic contract?"
"And definitely not my last."
"Well, you must know the drill then. Two conditions, one from me and one from you. Once that is fulfilled you're off the hook, meaning all becomes free game," the demon explains. He holds his hand out. "Let's do this properly, then."
"You're not taking my soul." You eyed his hand suspiciously.
"I don't intend on it," he nudges his hand toward you and you sigh. "You can call me Jaemin, it was the name I went by before this demon business."
"(Y/N)."
"Your condition?"
"Protection."
"Textbook condition," Jaemin clicks his tongue. You were surprised he didn't ask from what.
"And yours?"
"A soul. If not yours, then it has to be someone else," he says.
"Grimm, you're never satisfied," you grimaced. "Fine, then," you shook his hand. The marks on your arms burned red, literally. You nudged your head toward your workroom and he follows. "I'm guessing this was you, then?" You pointed to the defaced protection rune.
"Guilty as charged,," he shrugs. "Runes are such bullshit."
"You're bullshit," you argued. You rubbed your hair harshly when you heard a knock at your door. "Fuck, back and forth, back and forth, what a pain," you rolled your eyes and walked back, ready to tell whatever wizardscout was at your door that you weren't interested in their cookies.
"Hi, (Y/N)!" Mark's face beamed.
"Oh, hey, Mark. What's up? Something happen?" You ask him. Although the ritual worked well on Jaehyun, that doesn't mean that it did for everyone else. You wanted to check up on them and make sure their prognoses were well off and that you wouldn't have a shriveled old man limping to your door any time soon. However, from the looks of it, it seems that Mark is just as well off as Jaehyun was. Jaemin peers over, curiosity besting him, and rests his arm on your shoulder. You brush him off and Mark eyes you strangely. Jaemin continues to pester you until you've finally had enough of him. "Jaemin, can you stop?!" You whipped your head towards him and glared.
"Uh... who are you talking to, (Y/N)?" Mark looks over your shoulder. Now it was your turn to be confused. He can't see him. Or, if he could, he wasn't mentioning it. Demons, demons, Grimm demons, specifically. Looks like you had some homework to do. Until then, best you don't worry anyone.
"My familiar."
"You have a familiar?"
"Yes, he's an... an invisible owl," you made it up on the spot. You've never had a familiar, didn't find the need for one despite all the times Kibum offered one of his chimeras to you. To be honest, they were rather creepy. You knew they tended to be simple-minded creatures, Kibum ensured that, but it was just the way they stared at you. They were works in progress, their lifespans weren't longer than two or three years, poor, unfortunate things. "Did you need something, Mark?"
"Uh... I just heard from Jaehyun that you were awake now, so I wanted to check in on you," he says. "Do you need anything?"
"You know, your timing is just right, let's talk inside," you step aside, Jaemin following you, and Mark walks past you. "Take a seat anywhere," your living room was still a mess, "wait, fuck, I forgot... Propago repare! Propago redi!" You watched the living room reset itself after you circled your wand in an arc in front of you.
"Whoa, what happened here?" Mark moves aside for the books floating back to their shelves.
"Witchy stuff," you answered vaguely. "Would you like tea?"
"Yes, please!"
"Sure." At the beckoning of your hand, a tea set floats towards you, the liquid in the pot pouring into the two cups as they drifted gently down onto the table, the one that had just repaired itself moments before. Mark smiles.
"Thanks, you really are amazing, how can you use so much magic at once and not get tired?" He takes the cup, blowing on the steam to cool it down.
"A lot of it is training, stamina and mana are closely linked for witches," you say. "Although, I do have an unnaturally high supply of mana, according to my professors," you hummed as you took the seat opposite to him, holding your own cup and watching the liquid pour into it.
"None for me, doll?" Jaemin purrs. He leans against your chair. "Why don't I cause problems for you? He looks easy."
"How's human life?" You asked Mark, completely ignoring Jaemin behind you. Mark looks up, and immediately, his expression drops. His eyes lock behind you. You glance back, staring at the large mirror behind you. Your first thought was that he was surprised to see his own reflection, must've been a while for him, but it wasn't himself that he was looking at, he was looking just beyond your chair.
"Th... There's... There's someone behind you!" Mark shoots up, pointing at the mirror. He looks at you, then to the mirror, then back, and then to the mirror again. "Wait... what?!"
"Mirrors... mirrors! That's it! How did I not put two and two together?!" You knocked your head with your palm. "You're a mirror demon!" You turn to Jaemin.
"Well, if we're getting into specifics, I'm what you witches would refer to as a Chthonic deity, specifically one of reflections. Boring." He rolls his eyes. Mark's jaw hangs low. "He can't hear me, if that's what you're wondering. We're bound now, you and I, he can only hear and see me when I want him to, but you don't have that pleasure."
"Great. Anyway, Mark, ignore him. Did something happen?" You ask.
"Ignore... Ignore him? He looks really mad."
"He does, but he can't do anything," you rose your arm up to brandish the binding mark and your companion gasps.
"I'm going to kill him," Jaemin taunts.
"Mutus temporalis," you pointed the wand at him and Jaemin's mouth zipped shut. His eyes flared with anger, but you focused on Mark. Mark glances worriedly at the mirror, but continues.
"Honestly, I just wanted to check up on you. You said that the ritual was super taxing so... I just wanted to see if you were okay," he smiles. "Well, I guess you're technically not since you have a demon following you around now, is he from that creepy mirror?"
"Sadly, yes."
"Oh, shoot, is it our fault? Did we let him out?" He asks.
"No! No, it's not, it's mine. Right after the ritual, I kind of woke up before everyone else did before, you know, passing out again. That's when I disposed of everything properly and made a rookie mistake, I looked into the mirror for too long. I'm guessing this guy's the demon who tried to intimidate me. When you break a mirror, you release it's energies into the world around it, and, as you know, we broke a very bad mirror," you explained. Mark nodded along the way. "Long story short, it's my fault, don't worry about it, I'll get him off my back soon."
"I guess you have a new 'time-to-do-the-impossible' job already then, huh?"
"I do, a bit unfortunate because this time I won't get compensated for it, but what can be done?" You shrugged. "I do have to check in on Yangyang sooner than later though, so I'll be heading over there."
"Oh, can I come?" Mark asks.
"What for?"
"Well, I should probably check on him too, I think Doyoung's over there right now watching him with those other two."
"I suppose you could."
"Is he going to follow too?" Mark glances at the mirror.
"He doesn't have much of a choice, although I can't promise it'll be comfortable," you turned to Jaemin and drew your pinched finger through the air as if to unzip a zipper. Jaemin takes deep breaths.
"You're fucking crazy."
"You're destiny bound to me, so get used to it," you crossed your arms. "Anyway, we're going to meet a friend of mine, you'll love him."
"And why is that?"
"Because he convenes with angels."
"Oh fuck me."
"Should've stayed in the mirror, Grimm."
"Should've taken your soul while I had the chance..." he mumbles. You ignored him, standing up and using the same teleportation spell you'd done before on your front door. A new pattern appears.
"Ugh, that jackass changed his locks again," you grumbled, trying different permutations of the rings until they matched up and shone brightly. Jaemin shielded his eyes and Mark ducked behind you. You held onto the doorknob and pulled it open, seeing the pristine office at the other side and walking through.
