Were any of you into midnight red? They meant the world to me when I was in college and when they very suddenly disbanded it kind of took a part of me. I’m still bitter about it to be honest because they had so much potential

fucking hate being an academic because it means every now and again you have to re-test your hypotheses and thus i listened to like five new taylor swift songs only to come to the same conclusion as every other time i’ve tried listening to a new taylor swift song: they were made exclusively for 2009 eurodance boybands to make covers with music videos that read incredibly queer despite pronoun-swapping to retain the lyrics’ heterosexuality which is an inexplicable experience that you just have to live with until the the lead singer comes out as gay in 2015 barely two months after obergefell v hodges. and we just don’t have that kind of ecosystem anymore
