Introduction
Sevika groaned as she slowly woke up from her sleep, it wasn’t uncommon for her to wake up during the night, it was actually severely often she would. She rolled over in bed, reaching out to grab you but was instead met with a cold blanket. Sevika immediately opened her eyes and looked around the room, slightly panicked, she got out of bed and walked into the hallway of your shared apartment, the lights were on so for a moment she couldn’t see much but once her eyes adjusted she saw you tiredly making a midnight snack. She let out a huge sigh of relief seeing you safe and sound before walking over to you and slumping almost her whole body weight onto you.
“Fuck, Sevika you good?”
Sevika simply huffed as her right arm wrapped tightly around your waist.
“You weren’t in bed…”
You sighed softly and rested your spare hand atop hers as you leaned into her.
“I’m sorry my love, I was hungry so I’m making some noodles, want some?”
Sevika just grunted in response as she held you impossibly tighter and you started making another bowl of noodles, making sure to add all the spices she usually liked.
You both stayed like that, Sevika practically glued to your back while you made some food before the both of you headed to the living room to eat, still cuddled up together while occasionally talking about whatever came to mind.
“Still struggling with sleeping?”
Sevika nodded as she slurped up some noodles.
“Yeah…I dunno why, it’s not like I’m constantly having nightmares or whatever.”
You hummed softly, putting down your now empty bowl of noodles and leaning into her side more.
“It’s probably because you’re always so stressed out, with work and just life.”
Sevika nodded as she finished her noodles as well, she leaned forward to grab the bowls but you stopped her.
“No, I’ll take them, don't worry. You can go back up to bed alright? I’ll be there in a minute.”
Sevika just stared at you before sighing and getting up to head back to the bedroom.
By the time you finished cleaning the dishes and came back to bed, Sevika was still awake but at least she was comfortable in bed. You got in beside her and she immediately laid down over you, her head resting on your collar bone with her right arm placed under you to hold you tight against her. You smiled down at her, you were so grateful to whatever god existed that you somehow managed to get the big scary lady of Zaun to relax and let her guard down around you and only you. You reached up and started playing with her short hair, gently running your nails along her scalp and massaging her head, you knew it helped Sevika relax and she just hummed against you and snuggled closer.
You both eventually fell asleep and for once Sevika stayed asleep until her stupid alarm went off at 5 in the morning for her to go to work.
